3D Printed Housing for External Vive Wireless Card

Sorry I am not providing details as I want to get this info out quickly. I will respond with info if anyone shows interest, though I might be slow.
I'm not sure if anyone remembers the talk about extending the range of their Vive wireless setups. Basically, you can get a PCIe extender (built for bitcoin mining rigs I believe), and use USB 3 to move your Vive Wireless WiGig card 35 ft (CORRECTION: 20ft) to your computer. I have found that it works great for me.
But you end up with this exposed computer board just sitting there in your room with nothing to keep the board from sliding out of the extender socket and nothing to protect the board while also allowing cooling.
I took enough measurements off of the board to create a 3d model of it that captures the design information needed to create an enclosure.
I also created a 3d printable enclosure that is "good enough".
I haven't posted it because "an artist's work is never done", but if I don't post what I have, I might never post it.
So please let me know if anyone is interested in a model of the card and enclosure. Note that the enclosure is specific to the dimensions of the extender I bought, so minor tweaks might be required if you have a different extender.
Here is a picture of the final result (yes I used tape for my prototype that I never developed further)
I designed it to be modular (see the joiners I left open in the picture, in case a part of the print fails or needs fixing) and also it does not require supports. (Shakes fist at designs that require supports!)
(I would appreciate advice on how to get the image to show up in this post, I don't do this a lot)
Here are the exact two products I bought from Amazon. No guarantees. At the time people were looking into extending the wire from the card to antenna, but my first try didn't work.
Beware, the part that you plug into your pci slot can, incredibly, be put in backwards and still fit. Also there is nothing keeping the extender in the slot.

Anyone have any experience with m.2 to x16 risers?

So first off, I'm a little disappointed that there aren't any april fools jokes here.....I have just come from homelab and well the top 15 posts are pictures of labs (the dog). perhaps a little excessive. lol.
I'm getting into virtualization (I'm testing clear linux + kvm) and have bought parts to add a second gpu to my itx build. itx builds for the most part only come with a single x16 slot. That is occupied by a 1080ti. This will be for passthru use. So from my learning it would be beneficial for me to have a 2nd gpu. The only expansion I have now is m.2. They are pcie gen 3 x4 based slots. Technically I should be able to convert to a x16 sized slot but run at x4 speed. For my use (2d only) this should be fine. Talking about this is making me research my card being compatible with x4. I believe all x16 cards are backwards compatible by design, but double checking. I am testing this and this so far without success. This application is primarily used in the crypto mining world so I asked for troubleshooting help there but was curious if any attempts here were made. p.s. my build is skylake-x which disappointingly doesn't come with igp and that would have solved my 2nd gpu issue. any itx owners with no igpu or need a 2nd/3rd gpu can try buying the above parts, but make sure you have a sata/pcie m.2 slot. for my system m.2 pcie only did NOT work properly.

certain PCI-E slots unstable after reboot without pulling the plug, super weird, anyone been in a similar situation?

this is super weird, and took a long time to figure out (after first thinking it was everything else, risers, PSU, GPU, motherboard, ..)
on this picture, the pci-e slots marked in green are always stable. the ones marked with red, are stable if the electricity was pulled prior to reboot, but if the electricity was not pulled out prior to reboot, then they have about a 50% chance of being stable/unstable. at first i thought it was a bad bios overclock, so i reverted to stock bios, then i replaced the risers, then i thought it was a bad PSU, replaced it, then maybe a bad motherboard, so i replaced it. but it is the exact same situation with the brand new motherboard/PSU/riser. the PSUs are super-high-end, 2x Corsair AX1600i, Corsair's flagship (best) 1600W 80+ Titanium PSUs. the motherboard is Asus B250 Mining Expert, updated to firmware version 1205. the risers are Dayspirit 009S (and i'm not using the sata->pci-e converters to power the riser, i'm using these pci-e splitter cables instead, but also tried with a different 008S riser model from a different manufacturer, didn't help), the GPUs are 10x different RX580's (2x Aorus RX580, 5x Asus Dual RX580 OC, 1x Asus ROG Strix RX580, 1x PowerColor Red Devil RX580, 1x Maxsun RX580, all 8GB GRAM models),
anyone experienced anything like this? any idea what's happening?

[Build Complete] FrankenPC: gaming, bitcoin mining, HTPC

This is an all-purpose build that I put together slowly over the past year. It started out as just an HTPC, but ballooned into a gaming and bitcoin mining system. What's not listed in pcpartpicker is an additional HD 6850 connected by a PCIe x1 riser for bitcoin mining. The total hashrate of the system is 780 MH/s. Mining has been going full-on for about 4 months now and about a 1/3 of the cost of the current system has been paid for. It probably won't continue at this rate if difficulty goes way up with the asics coming out, but a 1/3 of the cost already is still a lot.
The i5-3450 and 7950 are a great combination for gaming. FPS on ultra detail on BF3 is 40-60 on a 1080p HDTV with AA/MSAA at their lowest settings.
