12 Best Bitcoin Mining Software for Windows PC

Passed D084 Cloud Platform Solutions

First off, I have zero experience with Azure. I mean I have never touched it even for a lab. I have very little experience with AWS back in ~2012 when bitcoin and altcoin mining was a thing. But even then I never setup vitual networks or web servers or even used IAM stuff. I merely just spun up instances. So I am no guru here.
This class took me 3 tries to get through but I will ashamedly admit, I didn't really study that much. I took the pre-assessment 2 times and passed it the second time. From there I printed out the test and went over the questions and answers a few times. I also did all the flash cards in the material for each chapter but that was kind of worthless. Because I passed the PA, I decided to try the OA. The OA is considerably more in depth in every aspect than the PA. I failed pretty hard that time.
There are a number of questions that involve numbers. Like SMB 3.0 port, NSG priority numbers, cidr notation, and a lot of these are in the PA. So study the questions that involve numbers.
What isn't in the PRactice Assessment:
Quite a bit of subscription related question. Free, basic, premium and what they entitled the user to.
RBAC roles. At least 5 if not more questions on these and not just the general Global Administrator, contributor, reader, owner roles but the built-in roles too https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/built-in-roles
There were definitely powershell questions that involved resource group deployment.
Virtual Networks and Storage had the most questions and was probably my worst area. Can't remember any specific questions at the moment. I would bet if you are solid here, you are good to go.
Also know the different zones and backup options involving them. Geo-redundant, locally redundant, zone redundant. Each test I took had multiple questions ~5 on this topic. This is where some of the pricing questions came in to play too.
*I am at work and can't seem to remember everything but I will add to this in the comments as stuff pops into my head.

Nhom VBC CHROMIA AMA TRANSCRIPT (15/05/2020)

Thai Nhat Minh | Stably:
First of all, can you have a brief introduction about yourself as well as about Chromia? Henrik_hjelte, Sergelubkin
Henrik Hjelte:
Hello. My name is Henrik Hjelte. I am Co-Founder and CEO of Chromia.
I have more than 30 years of experience in programming and a degree in Economics from Uppsala University.
BTW economics and computers = blockchain, so finally found a job that fits me.
I was introduced to the blockchain by the leader of the colored-coins project Alex Mizrahi in 2013
Colored coins project was a very influential thing
It was the first way for user created tokens
bolted on to the only blockchain at the time (almost) bitcoin
We started ChromaWay 2014, with Or Perelman too, to explore if the world was interested in “tokens” and those kind of applications
We worked with enterprise blockchain for some time, but now we are focused on Chromia, a new public platform for mainstream decentralized applications using relational blockchain technology.
Ok, maybe I should tell something about Chromia and not myself too.
Chromia is a better blockchain for building decentralized Apps.
better because it follows the “normal worlds” way of managing data.
A little history: I found a text/description to paste:
Chromia is a brainchild of ChromaWay. ChromaWay has a long record of delivering pioneering projects around the world. We issued Euros on the Bitcoin blockchain with LHV bank, allowed investors to invest in startups in a wholly decentralized way with Funderbeam, digitized the title transfer process with the Swedish land registry, and mediated the green bond market. ChromaWay’s core team created the world’s first protocol to issue tokens already in 2012, when blockchain was called “bitcoin 2.0”. Then ChromaWay introduced the relational model to enterprise blockchains with a consortium database called Postchain. Now Postchain is going public as the foundation for Chromia, a better blockchain for building decentralised Apps.
Chromia is a new public blockchain based on the idea of integrating traditional databases, Relational databases with blockchain security. Chromia is a general purpose blockchain with full smart contract capabilities, just that it is a lot easier to code, even complex applications. You code with an easy to learn new programming language that combines the power of SQL and normal languages but makes it secure in a blockchain context. Up to 1/10 the code-lines vs other blockchains.
If you don’t believe me, check this blog (later, stay in the chat):
https://blog.chromia.com/reasons-for-rell-compactness/
The aim of Chromia is to combine relational databases, which exist in every kind of organization, with blockchains. We want to provide a platform for our users to develop totally decentralized apps securely. Our goal is for Chromia to be seen as the number one infrastructure for decentralized applications.
Think about it: blockchain is about managing data (in a shared context).
And… What do we use to manage data? A Database!
Serge:
Sure! My name is Serge! And I work in Chromia marketing department. Also, I help coordinate various projects inside the company
My background is in Economics and Marketing

Question 1️⃣
DApp is currently mainly concentrated in the field of games, and its life cycle is basically short, just like the Crypto Kitty is only hot for a while, how to dig the application of DApp in more fields and how to improve the utilization rate of DApp? u/henrik_hjelte u/sergelubkin
Serge:
Good one, let me answer
Gaming is quite a challenging target because good UX is expected, it needs to be fast, responsive, etc. If we can do that, then we can also do all sorts of other stuff.
Also, it lets us experiment with things without a lot of hassle, it’s easier to get users, and so on. It’s also a growing niche within blockchain. You can check our latest game, Mines of Dalarnia https://www.minesofdalarnia.com
We also have Enterprise projects already, for example Green Assets Wallet https://greenassetswallet.org/about that already launched on the first Mainnet version called Bootstrap Net,we also have https://capchap.se built on our tech, more projects like non-profit review platform Impactoria, public land registries, medical projects and so on
Also don’t forget about our fully decentralized social network/forum that is live already on the testnet https://testnet.chromunity.com.
Thai Nhat Minh | Stably:
Question 2️⃣
How will dapp face the world change after the epidemic? u/henrik_hjelte u/sergelubkin
Henrik Hjelte:
Nobody can say for sure, but maybe people will tend to be online more than offline, so demand on online products and dapps as well will increase.
I just came in from an internal demo of a secret project we do, and it can be seen as a way to hang out online (a bit cryptic answer)
There are also interesting use cases of dapps in the medical field.
For example, we participated in the world-wide hackathon Hack for Sweden. Where our submission was to create an app on Chromia blockchain that increases the coordination between countries and hospitals especially during the hard time and COVID19.
Chromia wants to help the European Union (and the world, but we saw problems in the EU…) and its citizens to provide transparency over the necessary medical and protective devices and appliances of which we see shortage during this emergency crisis.
You can watch our promo here https://twitter.com/chromaway/status/1247557274337447938?s=20.
For me it was a fun Hackathon too because for once I got the opportunity to code… I told everyone else I will not do any bossing…
We try to continue this path on medical applications a bit.
Thai Nhat Minh | Stably:
Question 3️⃣
DApps are still not directly embedded in mobile phones like Apps at this moment, and DApps have also been flooded with bet content. How can guests increase the use of DApps and lower the threshold for using DApps? u/henrik_hjelte u/sergelubkin
Serge:
The answer is — better User Experience. We believe that in order for a DApp to be usable and become more widely accepted it has to feel like a normal App. A DApp needs to have quick transactions, scale well & shouldn’t require users to pay for each transaction. This is something that is possible now with using Chromia. It’s an extremely exciting time since we are going to see a new generation of DApps.
On top of that, we think that we might have an ace coming up. We have built a game to demonstrate the powers and possibilities of Chromia. A little bit about the game: In Mines of Dalarnia (https://www.minesofdalarnia.com), players get to explore the vast expanses of interplanetary treasure mines. With an innovative Dalarnia Token system, players can purchase virtual mining plots, and put them up for rent into the community, allowing for real-estate tycoons to earn more Tokens. Mining plots can also undergo their own upgrades, making them more lucrative to explore, as well as a hot property for rental by miners. The game takes advantage of these NFT-based tokens to securely track exchanges, and provide a sense of ownership and wealth to players as they grow their mining and resource empire.
Watch our trailer https://youtu.be/bDXKOp1Asqw and sign-up for the TestNet on the website!
Thai Nhat Minh | Stably:
Question 4️⃣
Many practitioners think that the main reason for restricting the development of DApp is “incomplete infrastructure”. How effective is the current “cross-chain” and “side-chain” solution? u/henrik_hjelte u/sergelubkin
Serge:
Our infrastructure resembles Alibaba Cloud, so a DApp developer just goes and deploys his DApp’s blockchain into it, it’s easy. Also our language Rell https://rell.chromia.com/en/maste is more robust than any other blockchain programming language.Or Azure or AWS
Rell combines the following features:
  1. Relational data modeling and queries similar to SQL. People familiar with SQL should feel at home once they learn the new syntax.
  2. Normal programming constructs: variables, loops, functions, collections, etc.
  3. Constructs which specifically target application backends and, in particular, blockchain-style programming including request routing, authorization, etc.
Rell aims to make programming as convenient and simple as possible. It minimizes boilerplate and repetition. At the same time, as a static type system it can detect and prevent many kinds of defects prior to run-time.
Maybe Henrik wants to add something. :)
Henrik Hjelte:
Yes, I can add some thing
Consider again the real /normal world. What made the apps you use every day? Behind the bank app is a relational database. Web 1.0, “shopping on the internet” was a relational database hooked up to a webpage.
web 2.0: Thefacebook was PhP and MySQL hack
again, a relational database.
So, we aim to make it just as easy to do decentralized apps as normal apps.
Also “the cloud” inspiration is more normal. In Chromia, the dapp developer pays for hosting the application (normally). Not the USERS.
No gas, this is a big usability improvement.
Thai Nhat Minh | Stably:
Question 5️⃣
There are many DApp development platforms on the market. What are the competitive advantages of Chromia? It can be explained in terms of development cost and ease of use that everyone is more concerned about. u/henrik_hjelte u/sergelubkin
Henrik Hjelte:
This what I’m talking about. I think “Ease of use” combined with “Power” is our biggest strength.
Easiness is our core feature thanks to the relational database aspect of our system. Relational databases are run by 85% of the enterprise market at the moment.
And used in 100% of all organizations.
The largest vendor on that market Oracle, has a bigger market cap than bitcoin,
So, this makes it easy for enterprises to integrate our tech stack to their normal systems without the need to redo them, like in most cases where blockchain pilots have failed.
That’s partially why we had success with enterprise customer which are live in the Chromia network.
And: there is a large set of features that relational databases have that alternatives (noSQL) do not have or do not do as well.
And blockchain is very primitive compared to that.
Data indepence, mathematical foundations etc. Large books have been written about it…
On Chromiam It’s very easy for developers to deploy DApps because they already know SQL-style programming. Keep in mind that we worked with customers and developers to build our tech stack while solving problems for them. We didn’t build something unneeded, we had proof of validation from the market.
SQL is top 3rd language in the world (after HTML and javascript).
source: stackoverflow survey 2019, among 90 000 developers…
Top 4 used databases: different flavors of SQL (relational databases)
So, they are used for a reason: Ease of use/programming, power etc.
Also, Rell is our language, is statically typed (means bugs are discovered when programs are written rather than we they run). It is also more compact, up to 1/7 of the code lines of SQL. And have “normal” programming constructs + blockchain programming built in.
Because we require both relational database properties and more security than SQL, currently Rell is the only choice. It is really easy to learn, please go check https://rell.chromia.com/en/maste.
Chromia also provides news to the database developer community….
millions of developers in potential.
OK, bear this in mind when you wonder how we can compete with blockchain X… Blockchain X is a fart in the ocean compare to the SQL world 😊
Bach Tuyet
You have organized many AMA sessions to the international community in general and Vietnam in particular. What do you most want to get after AMA sessions from the community? u/henrik_hjelte
Sergey
I’ll take this one:) our goal is to grow the community
  1. We want people to join our channels such as telegram, twitter, email also our decentralized forum https://testnet.chromunity.com and participate in discussions
  2. We want people to try our dapps such as Mines of Dalarnia
  3. We want to get feedback and understand the most important issues people care about Chromia and the blockchain industry in general
  4. We want to get more developers building on top of Chromia
LBTS:
What was your motivation for creating RELL and not use other languages? What benefits? Why name it RELL also?
Henrik Hjelte:
We have a private/federated relational blockchain called Postchain, and it allows SQL. But that can work in a small environment when you know all parties, and if you are really careful in checking code. But not for a more secure, distributed on the web setup, so we had to make it more secure (Deterministic, statically typed).
In the process, we also took the opportunity to make it cool and nice.
Also: it is simply not possibly to use evm, jvm, or web assembly. We need/want a database in the bottom. Postgresql is our virtual machine. You do not reimplement that…. 10+ years codebase….
Lee:
Being part of the gamer community, I would like to know what you would think about collaborating with a MOBA, RPG or Arcade game or some kind of project?
Henrik Hjelte:
We are already collaborating with some smaller studios. For bigger fish, we want to show them what is completely unique and visionary with Chromia, and we think we need various examples. So, first arcade game MoD (linked above) is one example, it is not the full potential or anything but a start. In this summer, krystopia 2 a puzzle game from Antler Interactive will be released.
What is even cooler is the “demo project” we do together with them, where we will show how a mutliplayer game with real blockchain features will work.
I just saw it an hour ago and was blown away
OH, and there is another studio releasing something very cool. Full logic on chain strategy game. Chain of Alliance.
oyibo pepper:
Do you encourage HACKATHON programs for intending Developers to test their skills and build on RELL
Can you explain more about CHROMIA AMBASSADORS PROGRAM, CAN I BECOME AN AMBASSADOR
Serge:
Yes, you can, but you will need to change your avatar 🤣
Seriously, we are growing our Chromians community if you want to become one please ping our admins in Chromia telegram group.
Also, we are planning virtual hackathons soon, please subscribe to stay updated
Infinite Crypto:
Since the Chromia project is currently working on the Ethereum blockchain ERC20 standard!
But we know that there are a lot of scalability issues with Ethereum, so why would you choose the Ethereum blockchain over other scalable blockchains? Do you have any plans for Mainnet launch of Chromia?
Henrik Hjelte:
ETH is just used in a pre-phase for tokens. We will have our own mainnet tokens interchangable with ETH.
Oyinbo pepper
What’s CHROMIA SSO and SDK, how can I get started
Henrik Hjelte
Both are 3 letters. That is what they have in common.
SDK = software development kit, check docs on https://rell.chromia.com
SSO = single sign on. A unique UX improvement. You approve an app in your wallet (vault) with super ease. no need to remember codes
sso: https://blog.chromia.com/chromia-sso-the-whys-and-the-whats/
We have a fundamentally different model from bitcoin and ethereum and the likes. The blockchain is not run by anonymous computers in basement and student dorms across the world. We have more of known identities, so 51% attacks is protected not by PoW/PoS but other consensus. Please see our whitepaper. Note that we are not noobs when it comes to this, our CTO Alex has published papers in academic journals on consensus etc. from 2013, and done several important ideas for blockchain. Sidechains we think he was first with, tokens too.
Sheron Fernando:
Is there any plan to makes partnership with local cryptocurrency developers from each country to make $CHR usage more worldwide?
Serge:
Yes, we are looking for cooperation with more external developers. Send me a message if you are interested in developing something on Chromia.
Stella:
What are the underlying problems in the Dapps today that can be solved with the Chromia protocol?
Serge:
  1. Scalability — on Chromia your dapp can have unlimited numbers of users thanks to parallel scaling
  2. Easiness of use — you don’t need external wallets, no need to buy crypto to pay for gas etc
  3. Cost — in general to deploy the dapp and to use the dapp
Marcel Lagacé:
Why build this platform? What is Chromia mission? What are the most prominent features of the platform? Can you clarify the use case for this feature?
Henrik Hjelte:
We build the platform to fix the problems with blockchains, that we ourselves have experienced since 2014 (before ethereum existed).
LBTS:
Can you tell us about Chromia developers? How motivated and experienced are they to always deliver the best products?
Henrik Hjelte:
I can tell you that we recruit developers that are really good, from all parts of the world. Vietnam has been a hub because we found many good, so in Ukraine.
How can we say “we have so good developers”? First one thing that is a bit different is that we are pretty experienced in leadership team of development. I do not code much anymore since I’m a CEO. But I do have now over 30 years of experience. Got published and was payed when I was 15. First full-time professional developer job at 18. Have released open-source projects used by 10: s of thousand developers.
And Alex, our CTO is Extremely good. That is why I recruited him to my old startup 2006 or so… So: we have experience to sort out good developers from bad.
Marcel Lagacé:
Does Chromia staking model is different from other staking platform??
What are the beneficial advantages of chromia staking system?
Serge:
The main difference is that we have independent Providers, entities that are not connected. These serious players are exchanges, data centres, professional staking companies. They provide a backbone of the ecosystem and host dapps. Like Amazon servers in the cloud. They cannot have stake bigger than the maximum thus they can’t control the network. This is probably the main difference with classic DPoS networks
Nguyen Duy Bao:
A lot of people will want to know what the strength of Chromia is but I want to know the weaknesses and problems Chromia faces ? How do you plan to solve it?
Henrik Hjelte:
A weakness I guess is weak compared to “competition”. And there are some blockchain projects that got crazy amount of funding. So how can we compete with that, when they can hire more developers for example? Well here is what experience comes into play: More developers does not always increase productivity a lot, it is diminishing returns. You can see many large projects, with 100 of developers fail miserably with no results.
And actually, sometimes true with marketing spend too. It is generally good with money, but if you are a bit clever you can compete also on marketing with less money than your competition.

Epic Cash AMA Recap with CryptoDiffer Community

CryptoDiffer team Hello, everyone! We are glad to meet here: Max Freeman (@maxfreeman4), Project Lead at Epic Cash Yoga Dude (@Yogadude), PR&Marketing at Epic Cash Xenolink (@Xenolink), Advisor at Epic Cash
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash Thanks Max, we are excited to be here!
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash Hello Everyone! Thank you for having us here!
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash Thank you to the CryptoDiffer team and CryptoDiffer community for hosting us!
CryptoDiffer team Let`s start from the first introduction question: Q1: Can you introduce yourself to the community? What is your background and how did you join Epic Cash?
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash
Hello! My background is Marketing and Business Development, I’ve been in crypto since 2011 started with Bitcoin, then Monero in 2014, Ethereum in 2015 and at some point Doge for fun and profit. I joined Epic Cash team in September 2019 handling PR and Marketing.
I saw in Epic Cash what was missing in my previous cryptos — things that were missing in Bitcoin and Monero especially.
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
Hello Cryptodiffer Community, I am not an original co-founder nor am I a developer for the Epic Cash project. I am however a community member that is involved in helping scale this project to higher levels. One of the many beauties of Epic Cash is that every single member in the community has the opportunity to be part of EPIC’s team, it can be from development all the way to content producing. Epic Cash is a community driven project. The true Core Team of Epic Cash is our community. I believe a community that is the Core Team is truly powerful. EPIC Cash has one of the freshest and strongest communities I have seen in quite a while. Which is one of the reasons why I became involved in this project. Epic displayed some of the most self community produced content I have seen in a project. I’m actually a doctor of medicine but in terms of my experience in crypto, I have been involved in the industry since 2012 beginning with mining Litecoin. Since then I have been doing deep dive analysis on different projects, investing, and building a network in crypto that I will utilize to help connect and scale Epic in every way I can. To give some credit to those people in my network that have been a part of helping give Epic exposure, I would like to give a special thanks to u/Tetsugan and u/Saurabhblr. Tetsugan has been doing a lot of work for the Japanese community to penetrate the Japanese market, and Japan has already developed a growing interest in Epic. Daku Sarabh the owner and creator of Crypto Daku Robinhooders, I would like to thank him and his community for giving us one of our first large AMA’s, which he has supported our project early and given us a free AMA. Many more to thank but can’t be disclosed. Also thank you to all the Epic Community leaders, developers, and Content producers!
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
I’m Max Freeman, which stands for “Maximum Freedom for Mankind”. I started working on the ideas that would become Epic in 2018. I fell in love with Bitcoin in 2017 but realized that it needs privacy at the base layer, fungibility, better scalability in order to go to the next level.
CryptoDiffer team
Really interesting backgrounds I must admit, pleasure to see the team that clearly has one vision of the project by being completely decentralized:)
Q2: Can you briefly describe what is Epic Cash in 3–5 sentences? What technology stands behind Epic Cash and why it’s better than the existing one?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
I’d like to highlight the differences between Epic and the two highest-valued privacy coin projects, Monero and Zcash. XMR has always-on privacy like Epic does, but at a cost: Its blockchain is over 20x more data intensive than Epic, which limits its possibilities for scalability. Epic’s blockchain is small and light enough to run a full node on cell phones, something that is in our product road map. ZEC by comparison can’t run on low end devices because of its zero knowledge based approach, and only 1% of transactions are fully private. Epic is simply newer, more advanced technology than prior networks thanks to Mimblewimble
We will also add more algorithms to widen the range of hardware that can participate in mining. For example, cell phones and tablets based around ARM chips. Millions of people can mine Epic that can’t mine Bitcoin, and that will help grow the network rapidly.
There are some great short videos on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQBFfksJlM97rgrplLRwNUg/videos
that explain why we believe we have created something truly special here.
Our core architecture derives from Grin, so we are fortunate to benefit on an ongoing basis from their considerable development efforts. We are focused on making our currency truly usable and widely available, beyond a store of value and becoming a true medium of exchange.
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash
Well we all have our views, but in a nutshell, we offer things that were missing in the previous cryptos. We have sound fiscal emission schedule matching Bitcoin, but we are vastly more private and faster. Our blockchain is lighter than Bitcoin or Monero and our tech is more scalable. Also, we are unique in that we are mineable with CPUs and GPUs as well as ASICs, giving the broadest population the ability to mine Epic Cash. Plus, you can’t forget FUNGIBILITY 🙂 we are big on that — since you can’t have true privacy without fungibility.
Also, please understand, we have HUGE respect to all the cryptos that came before us, we learned a lot from them, and thanks to their mistakes we evolved.
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
To add on, what also makes Epic Cash unique is the ability to decentralize the mining using a tri-algo model of Random X (CPU), Progpow (GPU), and Cuckoo (ASIC) for an ability to do hybrid mining. I believe this is an issue we can see today in Bitcoin having centralized mining and the average user has a costly barrier of entry.
To follow up on this one in my opinion one of the things we adopted that we have seen success for , in example Bitcoin and Monero, is a strong community driven coin. I believe having a community driven coin will provide a more organic atmosphere especially when starting with No ICO, or Premine with a fair distribution model for everyone.
CryptoDiffer team
Q3: What are the major milestones Epic Cash has achieved so far? Maybe you can share with us some exciting plans for future weeks/months?
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash
Since we went live in September of 2019, we attracted a very large community of users, miners, investors and contributors from across the world. Epic Cash is a very international project with white papers translated into over 30 languages. We are very much a community driven project; this is very evident from our content and the amount of translations in our white papers and in our social media content.
We are constantly working on improving our usability, security and privacy, as well as getting our message and philosophy out into the world to achieve mass adoption. We have a lot of exciting plans for our project, the plan is to make Epic Cash into something that is More than Money.
You can tell I am the Marketing guy since my message is less about the actual tech and more about the usability and use cases for Epic Cash, I think our Team and Community have a great mix of technical, practical, social and fiscal experiences. Since we opened our YouTube channels content for community submissions, we have seen our content translated into Spanish, French, German, Polish, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, and other languages
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
Our future development roadmap will be published soon and includes 4 tracks:
Usability
Mining
Core Protocol
Ecosystem Development
Core Protocol
Epic Server 2.9.0 — this release improves the difficulty adjustment and is aimed at making block emission closer to the target 60 seconds, particularly reducing the incidence of extremely short and long blocks — Status: In Development (Testing) Anticipated Release: June 2020
Epic Server 3.0.0 — this completes the rebase to Grin 3.0.0 and serves as the prerequisite to some important functional building blocks for the future of the ecosystem. Specifically, sending via Tor (which eliminates the need to open ports), proof of payment (useful for certain dex applications e.g. Bisq), and our native mobile app. Status: In Development (Testing) Anticipated Release: Fall 2020
Non-Interactive Transactions — this will enhance usability by enabling “fire and forget” send-to-address functionality that users are accustomed to from most cryptocurrencies. Status: Drawing Board Anticipated Release: n/a
Scaling Options — when blocks start becoming full, how will we increase capacity? Two obvious options are increasing the block size, as well as a Lightning Network-style Layer 2 structure. Status: Drawing Board Anticipated Release: n/a
Confidential Assets — Similar to Raven, Tari, and Beam, the ability to create independently tradable assets that ride on the Epic Blockchain. Status: Drawing Board Anticipated Release: n/a
Usability
GUI Wallet 2.0 — Restore from seed words and various usability enhancements — Status: Needs Assessment Anticipated Release: Fall 2020
Mobile App — Native mobile experience for iOS and Android. Status: In Development (Testing) Anticipated Release: Winter 2020
Telegram Integration — Anonymous payments over the Telegram network, bot functionality for groups. Status: Drawing Board Anticipated Release: n/a
Mining
RandomX on ARM — Our 4th PoW algorithm, this will enable tablets, cell phones, and low power devices such as Raspberry Pi to participate in mining. Status: Needs Assessment Anticipated Release: n/a
The economics of mining Epic are extremely compelling for countries that have free or extremely cheap electricity, since anyone with an ordinary PC can mine. Individual people around the world can simply run the miner and earn meaningful money (imagine Venezuela for example), something that has not been possible since the very early days of Bitcoin.
Ecosystem Development
Atomic Swaps — Connecting Epic to other blockchains in a trustless way, starting with ETH so that Epic can trade on DeFi infrastructure such as Uniswap, Kyber, etc. Status: Drawing Board Anticipated Release: n/a
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
From the Community aspect, we have been further developing our community international reach. We have been seeing an increase in interest from South America, China, Russia, Japan, Italy, and the Philippines. We are working on targeting more countries. We truly aim to be a decentralized project that is open to everyone worldwide.
CryptoDiffer team
Great, thank you for your answers, we now can move to community questions part!
Cryptodiffer Community
You have 3 mining algorithms, the question is: how do they not compete with each other? Is there any benefit of mining on the GPU and CPU if someone is mining on the ASIC?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
The block selection is deterministic, so that every 100 blocks, 60% are for RandomX (CPU), 38% for ProgPow (GPU), and 2% for Cuckoo (ASIC) — the policy is flexible so that we can have as many algorithms with any percentages we want. The goal is to make the most decentralized and resilient network possible, and with that in mind we are excited to work on enabling tablets and cell phones to mine, since that opens it up to millions of people that otherwise can’t take part.
Cryptodiffer Community
To Run a project smoothly, Funding is very important, From where does the Funding/revenue come from?
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
Yes, early on this was realized and in order to scale a project funds are indeed needed. Epic Cash did not start with any funding and no ICO and was organically genesis mined with no pre-mine. Epic cash is also a nonprofit community driven project similar to Monero. There is no profit-driven entity in the picture. To overcome the revenue issue Epic Cash setup a development fund tax that decreases 1% every year until 2028 when Epic Cash reaches singularity with Bitcoin emissions. Currently it is at 7.77%. This will help support the scaling of the project.
Cryptodiffer Community
Hi! In your experience working also with MONERO can you please clarify which are those identified problems that EPIC CASH aims to develop and resolve? What’s the main advantage that EPIC CASH has over MONERO? Thank you!
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash
First, I must admit that I am still a huge fan and HODLer of Monero. That said:
✅ our blockchain is MUCH lighter than Monero’s
✅ our transaction processing speed is much faster
✅ our address-less blockchain is more private
✅ Epic Cash can be mined with CPU (RandomX) GPU (ProgPow) and Cuckoo, whereas Monero migrated to RandomX and currently only mineable with CPU

  1. the feature ‘Cut Through’ deletes old data, how is it decided which data will be deletes, and what are the consequences of it for the platform and therefore the users?
  2. On your website I see links to download Epic wallet and mining software for Linux,Windows and MacOs, I am a user of android, is there a version for me, or does it have a release date?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
  1. This is one of the most exciting features of Mimblewimble, which is its extraordinary ability to compress blockchain data. In Bitcoin, the entire history of a coin must be replayed every time it is spent, and comprehensive details are permanently stored in the blockchain. Epic discards spent transaction inputs and consolidates outputs, storing neither addresses or amounts, only a tiny kernel to allow sender and receiver to prove their transaction.
  2. The Vitex mobile app is great for today, and we have a native mobile app for iOS and Android in the works as well.

$EPIC Have total Supply of 21,000,000 EPIC , is there any burning plan? Or Buyback program to maintain $EPIC price in the future?
Who is Epic Biggest competitors?
And what’s makes epic better than competitors?
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
We respect the older generation coins like Bitcoin. But we have learned that the supply economics of Bitcoin is very sound. Until today we can witness how the Bitcoin is being adopted institutionally and by retail. We match the 21 million BTC supply economics because it is an inelastic fixed model which makes the long-term economics very sound. To have an elastic model of burning tokens or printing tokens will not have a solid economic future. Take for example the USD which is an inflating supply. In terms of competitors we look at everyone in crypto with respect and also learn from everyone. If we had to compare to other Mimblewimble tech coins, Grin is an inelastic forever inflating supply which in the long term is not sound economics. Beam however is an inelastic model but is formed as a corporation. The fair distribution is not there because of the permanent revenue model setup for them. Epic Cash a non-profit development tax fund model for scaling purposes that will disappear by 2028’s singularity.

What your plans in place for global expansion, are you focusing on only market at this time? Or focus on building and developing or getting customers and users, or partnerships?
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash
Since we are a community project, we have many developers, in addition to the core team.
Our plans for Global expansion are simple — we have advocates in different regions addressing their audiences in their native languages. We are growing organically, by explaining our ideology and usability. The idea is to grow beyond needing a fiat bridge for crypto use, but to rather replace fiat with our borderless, private and fungible crypto so people can use it to get goods and services without using banks.
We are not limiting ourselves to one particular demographic — Epic Cash is a valid solution for the gamers, investors, techie and non techie people, and the unbanked.

EPIC confidential coin! Did you have any problems with the regulators? And there will be no problems with listing on centralized exchanges?
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
In terms of structure, we are carefully set up to minimize these concerns. Without a company or investors in the picture, and having raised no funds, there is little scope to attack in terms of securities laws. Bitcoin and Ethereum are widely acknowledged as acceptable, and we follow in their well-established footprints in that respect. Centralized exchanges already trade other privacy coins, so we don’t see this as much of an issue either. In general, decentralized p2p exchange options are more interesting than today’s centralized platforms. They are more censorship resistant, secure, and privacy-protecting. As the technology gets better, they should continue to gain market share and that’s why we’re proud to be partnered with Vitex, whose exchange and mobile app work very well.

What are the main utility and real-life usage of the #EPIC As an investor, why should we invest in the #EPIC project as a long-term investment?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
Because our blockchain is so light (only 1.16gb currently, and grows very slowly) it is naturally well suited to become a decentralized mobile money standard because people can run a full node on their phone, guaranteeing the security of their funds. Scalability in Bitcoin requires complicated and compromised workarounds such as Lightning Network and light clients, and these problems are solved in Epic.
With our forthcoming Mobile Mining app, hundreds of millions of cell phones and tablets will be able to easily join the network. People can quickly and cheaply send money to one another, fulfilling the long-envisioned promise of P2P electronic cash.
As an investor, it’s important to ask a few key questions. Bitcoin Standard tokenomics of disinflation and a fixed supply are well proven over a decade now. We follow this model exactly, with a permanently synchronized supply from 2028, and 4 emission halvings from now until then, with our first one in about two weeks. Beyond that, we can apply some simple logical tests. What is more valuable, money that can only be used in some cases (censorable Bitcoin based on a lack of fungibility) or money that can be used universally? (fungible Epic based on always-on privacy by default). Epic is also poised to be a more decentralized and therefore resilient network because of wider participation in mining. Epic is designed to be Bitcoin++ Privacy, Fungibility, Scalability
Cryptodiffer Community
Q1. What are advantages for choosing three mining algorithms RandomX+, ProgPow and CuckAToo31+ ?
Q2. Beam and Grin use MimbleWimble protocol, so what are difference for Epic? All of you will be friends for partners or competitors?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
RandomX and ProgPow are designed to use the entirety of a CPU / GPU’s unique processing capabilities in a way that other types of hardware don’t work as well. You can run RandomX on a GPU but it doesn’t work nearly as well as a much cheaper CPU, for example. Cuckoo is a “memory hard” algorithm that widens the range of companies that can produce the hardware.
Grin and Beam are great projects and we’ve learned a lot from them. We inherited our first codebase from Grin’s excellent Rust design, which is a better language for community participation than C++ that Beam currently uses.
Functionally, Mimblewimble is similar across the 3 coins, with standard Confidential Transactions, CoinJoin, Dandelion++, Schnorr Signatures and other advanced features. Grin is primarily ASIC-targeted, Beam is GPU-targeted, and Epic is multi-hardware.
The biggest differences though are in tokenomics and project structure. Grin has permanent inflation of 60 coins per block with no halvings, which means steady erosion of value over time due to new supply pressure. It also lacks a steady funding model, making future development in jeopardy, particularly as the per coin price falls. Beam has a for-profit model with heavy early inflation and a high developer tax. Epic builds on the strengths of these earlier mimblewimble projects and addresses the parts that could be improved.
Cryptodiffer Community Some privacy coin has scalability issues! How Epic cash will solve scalability issues? Why you choose randomX consensus algorithem?
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
Fungibility means that you can’t distinguish one unit of currency from another, in example Gold. Fungibility has recently become a hot issue as people have been noticing Bitcoins being locked up by exchanges which may of had a nefarious history which are called Tainted Coins. In example coins that have been involved in a hack, darknet market transactions, or even processing coin through a mixer. Today we can already see freshly mined Bitcoins being sold at a premium price to avoid the fungibility problem Bitcoin carries today. Bitcoin can be tracked by chainalysis and is not a fungible cryptocurrency. One of the features that Epic has is privacy with added fungibility, because of Mimblewimble technology, Epic has no addresses recorded and therefore nothing can be tracked by chainalysis. Below I provide a link of an example of what the lack of fungibility is resulting in today with Bitcoin. One of the reasons why we chose the Random X algo. is because of the easy barrier of entry and also to further decentralize the mining. Random X algo can be mined on old computers or laptops. We also have 2 other algos Progpow (GPU), and Cuckoo (ASIC) to create a wider decentralization of mining methods for Epic.

I’m a newbie in crypto and blockchain so how will Epic Cash team target and educate people who don’t know about blockchain and crypto?
What is the uniqueness of Epic Cash that cannot be found in other project that´s been released so far ?
Yoga Dude Pr&Marketing at Epic Cash
Actually, while we have our white paper translated into over 30 languages, we are more focused on explaining our uses and advantages rather than cold specs. Our tech is solid, but we not get hung up on pure tech talk which most casual users do not need to or care to understand. As long as our fundamentals and tech are secure and user friendly our primary goal is to educate about use cases and market potential.
The uniqueness of Epic Cash is its amalgamation of “whats good” in other cryptos. We use Mimblewimble for privacy and anonymity. Our blockchain is much lighter than our competitors. We are the only Mimblewimble crypto to use a unique cocktail of mining algorithms allowing to be mined by casual miners with gaming rigs and laptops, while remaining friendly to GPU and CPU farmers.
The “uniqueness” is learning from the mistakes of those who came before us, we evolved and learned, which is why our privacy is better, we are faster, we are fungible, we offer diverse mining and so on. We are the best blend — thats powerful and unique

Can you share EPIC’s vision for decentralized finance (DEFI)? What features do EPIC have to support DEFI?
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash
We view Epic as ideally suited to be the decentralized digital reserve asset of the new Private Internet of Money that’s emerging. At a technology level, atomic swaps can be created to build liquidity bridges so that wrapped Epic tokens (like WBTC, WETH) can trade on other networks as ERC20, BEP2, NEP5, VIP180, Algorand and so on. There is more Bitcoin value locked on Ethereum than in Lightning Network, so we will similarly integrate Epic so that it can trade on networks such as Uniswap, Kyber, and so on.
Longer term, if there is market demand for it, thanks to Scriptless Script functionality our blockchain has, we can build “Confidential Assets” (which Raven, Tari, and Beam are all also working on) that enable people to create tokenized assets in a private way.

If you could choose one celebrity to promote Epic-cash, who that would be?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
I am a firm believer that the strength of the project lies in allowing community members to become their own celebrities, if their content is good enough the community will propel them to celebrity status. Organic celebrities with small but loyal following are vastly more beneficial than big name professional shills with inflated but non caring audiences.
I remember the early days of Apple when an enthusiastic dude named Guy Kawasaki became Apple Evangelist, he was literally going around stores that sold Apple and visited user groups and Evangelized his belief in Apple. This guy became a Legend and helped Apple become what it is today.

How does $EPIC solve scalability of transactions? Current blockchains face issues with scalability a lot, how does $EPIC creates a solution to it?
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
Epic Cash is utilizing Mimblewimble technology. Besides the privacy & fungibility aspect of the tech. There is the scalability features of it. It is implemented into Epic by transaction cut-through. Which means it allows nodes to remove all intermediate transactions, thus significantly reducing the blockchain size without affecting its validation. Mimblewimble also does not use addresses like a BTC address, and amount of transactions are also not recorded. One problem Monero and Bitcoin are facing now is scalability. It is evident today that data is getting more expensive and that will be a problem in the long run for those coins. Epic is 90% lighter and more scalable compared to Monero and Bitcoin.
Cryptodiffer Community
what are the ways that Epic Cash generates profits/revenue to maintain your project and what is its revenue model ? How can it make benefit win-win to both invester and your project ?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
There is a block subsidy of 7.77% that declines 1.11% per year until 0, where it stays after that. As a nonprofit community effort, this extremely modest amount goes much further than in other projects, which often take 20, 30, even 50+ % of the coin supply. We believe that this ongoing funding model best aligns the long term incentives for all participants and balances the compromises between the ends of the centralized/decentralized spectrum of choices that any project must make.

Q2 : What are your plans to expand and gain more adoption?
Yoga Dude Pr&Marketing at Epic Cash
Max already talked about our technical plans and goals in his roadmap. Allow me to talk more about the non technical 😁
We are aiming for broader reach in the non technical more mainstream community — this is a big challenge but we believe it is doable. By offering simpler ways to mine Epic Cash (with smart phones for example), and by doing more education we will achieve the holy grail of crypto — moving past the fiat bridges and getting Epic Cash to be accepted as means of payment for goods and services. We will accomplish this by working with regional advocacy groups, community interaction, off-line promotional activities and diverse social media targeting.

It seems to me that EpicCash will have its first Halving, right? Why a halving so soon?
Is a mobile version feasible?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
Our supply emission catches up to that of Bitcoin’s first 19 years after 8 years in Epic, so that requires more frequent halvings. Today’s block emission is 16, next up are 8, 4, 2, and then finally 0.15625. After that, the supply of Epic and that of BTC stay synchronized until maxing out at 21m coins in 2140.
Today we have a mobile wallet through the Vitex app, a native mobile wallet coming, and are working on mobile mining.
Cryptodiffer Community
What markets will you add after that?
Yoga Dude PR&Marketing at Epic Cash
Well, we are aiming to have ALL markets
Epic Cash in its final iteration will be usable by everyone everywhere regardless of their technical expertise. We are not limiting ourselves to the technocrats, one of our main goals is to help the billions of unbanked. We want everyone to be able to mine, buy, and most of all USE Epic Cash — gamers, farmers, soccer moms, students, retirees, everyone really — even bankers (well once we defeat the banking industry)
We will continue building on the multilingual diversity of our global community adding support and advocacy groups in more countries in more languages.
Epic Cash is More than Money and its for Everyone.
Cryptodiffer Community
Almost, all cryptocurrencies are decentralized & no-one knows who owns that cryptocurrencies ! then also, why Privacy is needed? hats the advantages of Private coins?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
With a public transparent blockchain such as Bitcoin, you are permanently posting a detailed history of your money movements open for anyone to see (not just legitimate authorities, either!) — It would be considered crazy to post your credit card or bank statements to Twitter, but that’s what is happening every time you send a transaction that is not private. This excellent video from community contributor Spencer Lambert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0blbfmvCq\_4 explains better than I can.
Privacy is not just for criminals, it’s for everyone. Do you want your landlord to increase the rent when he sees that you get a raise? Your insurance company to raise your healthcare costs because they see you buying too much ice cream? If you’re a business, do you want your employees to see how much money their coworkers make? Do you want your competitors to trace your supplier and customer relationships? Of course not. By privacy being default for everyone, cryptocurrency can be used in a much wider range of situations without unacceptable compromises.

What are the main utility and real-life usage of the #EPIC As an investor, why should we invest in the #EPIC project as a long-term investment?
Xenolink Advisor at Epic Cash
Epic Cash can be used as a Private and Fungible store of value, medium of exchange, and unit of account. As Epic Cash grows and becomes adopted it can be compared to how Bitcoin and Monero is used and adopted as well. As Epic is adopted by the masses, it can be accepted as a medium of exchange for store owners and as fungible payments without the worry of having money that is tainted. Epic Cash as a store of value may be a good long term aspect of investment to consider. Epic Cash carries an inelastic fixed supply economic model of 21 million coins. There will be 5 halvings which this month of June will be our first halving of epic. From a block reward of 16 Epic reduced to 8. If we look at BTC’s price action and history of their halvings it has been proven and show that there has been an increase in value due to the scarcity and from halvings a reduction of # of BTC’s mined per block. An inelastic supply model like Bitcoin provides proof of the circulating supply compared to the total supply by the history of it’s Price action which is evident in long term charts since the birth of Bitcoin. EPIC Plans to have 5 halvings before the year 2028 to match the emissions of Bitcoin which we call the singularity event. Below is a chart displaying our halvings model approaching singularity. Once bitcoin and cryptocurrency becomes adopted mainstream, the fungibility problem will be more noticed by the general public. Privacy coins and the features of fungibility/scalability will most likely be sought over. Right now a majority of people believe that all cryptocurrency is fungible. However, that is not true. We can already see Chainalysis confirming that they can trace and track and even for other well-known privacy coins today such as Z-Cash.

Native speakers from our community are working to raise awareness in key markets such as mining in Argentina and Venezuela for Spanish (Roberto Navarro called Epic “the holy grail of cryptocurrency” and Ethiopia and certain North African countries that have the lowest electricity costs in the world. I was watching some videos explaining how to send and receive transactions in EpicCash, which consists of ports and sending links, my question is why this is so, which, for now, looks complex?
Let’s talk about the economic model, can EpicCash comply with the concept of value reserve?
Max Freeman Project Lead at Epic Cash
In V3, which is coming later this summer, Epic can be sent over Tor, which eliminates this issue of port opening, even though using tools like ngrok.io, it’s not necessarily as painful as directly configuring the router ports. Early Lightning Network had this issue as well and it’s something we have a plan to address via research into non-interactive transactions. “Fire and Forget” payments to an address, as people are used to in Bitcoin, is coming to Epic and we’re excited to develop functionality that other advanced mimblewimble coins don’t yet have. We are committed to constant improvement in usability and utility, to make our money system the ease of use leader.
We are involved in the project (anyone can join the Freeman Family) because we believe that simply by choosing to use a form of money that better aligns with our ideals, that we can make a positive change in the world. Some of my thoughts about how I got involved are here: https://medium.com/epic-cash/the-freeman-family-e3b9c3b3f166

Huge thanks to our friends Maks and Vladyslav, we welcome everyone to come say hi at one of our friendly communities. It is extremely early in this journey, our market cap is only 0.5m right now, whereas the 3 other mimblewimble coins are at $20m, $30m and $100m respectively. Epic is a historic opportunity to follow in the footsteps of legends such as Bitcoin and Monero, and we hope to become the first Top 5 privacy coin project.

Easily generate income online | UNIEX

Easily generate income online | UNIEX
Dear as they are, I hope well. In this post I come to bring a very practical tool which allows the deposit of money in the form of cryptocurrencies passively and from the comfort of your homes. Before starting I want to clarify that I am not coming to bring you any lies in which you are going to have to download programs or do strange things, this is totally simple and it works. Nor do I come to tell you that they will be able to earn 50 or 100 dollars in a day or a week, since there is no such tool. There is no easy way to earn that much money (at least for normal people like me). I also clarify that you have not yet obtained the benefit of the page since I have just started. But in what I take time I did not find any problem or any reason how to stop using it. Clarified everything we begin:

What is UNIEX?

In simple words, uniex is a cloud mining system. Many wonder what is cloud "mining"? Those who know about cryptocurrencies will know what it is about. For newcomers (like me) cloud mining is the financial exchange of the future to which I have great faith. Since approximately 2012, the cryptocurrency was created every day and every year that passes, it has gained more strength and monetary value. Besides that it is a tool that skips all the policies or everything that has to do with the financial systems of the banks, being able to do what you want with your virtual money without explaining it to anyone.

https://preview.redd.it/akqb4pcnts451.jpg?width=1359&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16fa98e66b6fedba6f901c3dc062dba2b4dadfa3
In this post I am going to show you quickly how passive income can be generated. UNIEX is a page where you can invest to accelerate income, EYE, I am not telling you to invest, since virtual currencies fluctuate greatly and change value constantly. Although most cases are on the rise. If they do not invest they can have the same income, later we will see how much.

HOW TO START?

The first thing that I am going to leave you is the referral link of mine, so that you enter the page and can have USD 3 free to start reaping your cryptocurrencies passively

LINK: http://uniex.biz?ref=7ocplL

Once entered there are those who have a screen like this:

https://preview.redd.it/9u0uqb6tus451.jpg?width=1343&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d5556c179360a243efec8aefa5db3526ef7a6f49
In which they will only have to create one user. Once created, you can use the 3 free dollars they give you.
In this case with those three dollars you can start accumulating DOGECOIN as we see in the image.

https://preview.redd.it/7lucwzgqvs451.jpg?width=374&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b933890c9b8604d47cd93d894fbb690cdef434ae
To start farming cryptocurrencies we follow the following steps:

1st step: On the main page, press START EXTRACTION

https://preview.redd.it/35l09tjdws451.jpg?width=1353&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=219b880ef67ff197f7e2c08dd71f71900442e700
2nd step: We click on MINING

https://preview.redd.it/4cvpamtiws451.jpg?width=1345&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ddb79e6bf6d6f5e2b2ce21927a19a835273a62b9
3rd step: We will see the screen as the image shows. We locate DOGECOIN and we will see that it is at 0%, that is, it is not accumulating the currency. We click on the meter and fill it 100% to start harvesting.

https://preview.redd.it/lirw1q00xs451.jpg?width=968&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6671170143fb1b3d080c48c1c30dc78d3be95cb8

https://preview.redd.it/ix9ob4p1xs451.jpg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d3b496bd877e109799d82aa595d3ae0761c828c
And that's all there is to it in order to start collecting cryptocurrencies. But now comes the most important and what interests us all:

How much do we earn with this method?

In the previous image you can see that I already have accumulated 2.63353423 DOGE. How much money is that? Well on the page investing.com you can go to the virtual currency converter and it gives the following.

https://preview.redd.it/ohjf6oifxs451.jpg?width=667&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe55275344d67895266fcb9b82c25449f547f317
At that time you have managed to accumulate $ 0.0069, in approximately 2 hours. You will say "But that is nothing", the truth is that it is nothing. But this page works constantly, you can close it, turn off the PC, whatever you want. But they will continue to accumulate cryptocurrencies. Look at the following image:
https://preview.redd.it/oxcmjsdjys451.jpg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8b8c33982a9684522987e35bdb0dd0c110a26f4
On the right side we can see how many DOGECOIN we can obtain per hour, per day, per month and even per year.
Look at how much you would earn per month:

https://preview.redd.it/k2aqegotys451.jpg?width=659&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ec666494699639830f1cc30ad89f038608740fb
In a month, without even entering the page we can passively earn up to USD 2,7025. And without doing anything difficult, just create an account and set collection 100%

How do I withdraw the money?

To see how much money we have we go to the "Balance" or "Balance" tab located below where it says "LIVE", depending on what language they have.

https://preview.redd.it/la8tkiat0t451.jpg?width=1355&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5820696d06e5704b939018bbf22decb88548784b
Once there you will see the following image:

https://preview.redd.it/bpocxza21t451.jpg?width=1344&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78a67e9392e905003f30daa783b26ccb6d686eee
In A we choose the DOGECOIN currency and then click B to exchange for dollars. A field will appear in C to complete with the amount of DOGECOIN we want to change to obtain the respective dollars. If I am not mistaken the minimum amount of dollars that we can change is USD 0.1, so we will need approximately 38 DOGECOINS.
Once changed to dollars we see the following image:

https://preview.redd.it/5gic54fd1t451.jpg?width=1343&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d92232acc748bc230fb100330d5e1607299782fd
Following the order, in A we choose the currency, in this case in dollars, (I don't have anything because I still hadn't changed it). In B we press WITHDRAW, and the screen C will appear, which indicates the two pages through which we can transfer the dollars, PERFECT MONEY and PAYEER. The minimum amount of dollars that can be withdrawn is USD 2.5, which is not much. Let's say every 1 month we can withdraw dollars. Or use them to invest which I explain later.
For example, I put how it would be from payeer:

LINK: https://payeer.com/013692447

https://preview.redd.it/1qk13edn1t451.jpg?width=1335&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=375e1b5b537cf0ba974a1a87f689db1ef9ad3a4c
We can see in the first tab that tells us how many dollars we have (in this case 0) and then it can be transferred to your bank account. I can not put images of this since I have not been able to remove anything yet, but I can hardly make another post. To withdraw you just have to copy the ID shown above and paste it where it says "specify bag number" in the image above in the letter C.

Is there any way to speed up the collection of cryptocurrencies?

Yes, there are. Previously he had commented that on this page you could invest. I emphasize, you can invest but it is not an obligation, and you have to take all the precautions, cryptocurrencies change value constantly. So this is up to you and your responsibility.
To invest we go to the BUY THE POWER tab:

https://preview.redd.it/fc0azzv92t451.jpg?width=1360&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a1b6a730cb3241461dff4312c6f2384bfc74a07
The following screen will appear:

https://preview.redd.it/tyh5bqas2t451.jpg?width=1326&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93bd56f9309d6e0dbd50dc4c479f0203eacd2bb4
Following the order of the letters they choose SCRYPT since we will start investing in DOGECOIN which is what we earn. Later when we have more money we can invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are the currencies with the highest value in the cryptocurrency market today. In window B we will see the price in dollars to increase the speed and below we see the current speed. In C we choose the currency with which we are going to invest and then pressing BUY THE POWER we will obtain the increase of the collection.
To finish, when we invest, another interesting thing is enabled, which is a "roulette" in which we can win prizes such as bitcoins, or increased collection power for any currency. To see this press the gift that is on the left of the screen:

https://preview.redd.it/rwnw8uvz2t451.jpg?width=1327&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cf788b1e4a75a1c8342e174db70e01dd3a150d31
Una vez presionemos el boton Lets Play veremos algo así:

https://preview.redd.it/xqn7y6i63t451.jpg?width=1340&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78350d7e57745ac8de58e117a9e303fa005febcc
In A we will see our balance of Points. These points are obtained by investing money in BUY THE POWER previously explained. Logically the more we invest the more points they give us. We can bet these points on 1, 10 or 100 as shown in B. With their respective rewards shown in C. In the image the 10 point bet is selected. And the rewards are 0.1 Bitcoin which is a significant sum (almost USD1000) or 0.002 Bitcoin which is equivalent to USD 20 or force of power to increase the collection. There is always something to be gained and that is good because it will help us to accelerate the profit of money. If we select to bet 1 point we will get lower rewards, and when selecting 100 points the rewards are even greater.
Well to finish I wanted to tell you what is that tab that says LIVE in the upper left of the screen. If we press there we will have access to 3 cameras. Which two of them point to the "servers" of UNIEX and the third camera points to a television which indicates the extractions that are being carried out (I do not post screenshots because just then they did not work, but believe me they work). And all in real time, very good the truth. This indicates seriousness and gives confidence to the user for the page.
Well I hope I have been as clear as possible and have not left doubts. When I can withdraw I will add another post. I hope it works for you and you like it, and remember to be patient, something is not accomplished overnight.
Thank you.

It's a trick. Get an axe. ($50M Bitcoin Cash Tech Park BCH fork attack)

Thanks to LovelyDay for pointing out this article: https://news.bitcoin.com/plans-to-build-a-50m-bitcoin-cash-tech-park-in-north-queensland-revealed/
From the article:
""At the Bitcoin Cash City conference in North Queensland, the CEO of Code Valley, Noel Lovisa, announced plans to build a $50 million dollar Bitcoin Cash tech park in the city of Townsville. The plan is to aggregate startup companies and there are more than 12 Bitcoin Cash focused startups already on board. Additionally, the BCH tech park creators aim to create a sister project with a mining and server facility built near the Kennedy Energy Park."
I've read about this Code Valley thing. Basically it was a guy working in his basement for 10 years to try and build a developer marketplace where the software (closed source, licensed) connects modules of code written by other developers together and magically compiles a binary that works.
I'm not even going to start on how you would possibly debug such a thing.
Look, folks. Let's review some history:
Now these fuckers mysteriously raised $50mm to build a tech park, aggregate BCH startups, and build a mining facility? Oh, and by the way, they want to develop their own BCH client because reasons?
The chances of this being fork attack part 3 are 90%.
Questions we need to ask:
1) Who the fuck is Code Valley and this CEO guy? 2) Who is bankrolling this "Tech Park"? 3) Why are they bribing startups to come work at their "Tech Park"? 4) What is their business model / how do they make a profit? 5) If 4 has no clear answer, it's probably the fucking bank and spook cartel attacking again, folks.
In closing, people:

It's a trick. Get an axe.

In depth interview with Mr. Feng: MW is not only the commercial incentive layer of IPFS

Why did early bitcoin players play MW?Why is blockchain + distributed storage the only industry that can combine mining with practice? How can human beings do things beneficial to social storage while consuming a lot of resources?Special guest Mr. Feng: early believers in bitcoin, co-founder ofMirror World Network MW, to solve our doubts one by one!
Hello, I'm Mr.Feng. I started my business in 2012.I'm an early believer in bitcoin. After two years of silence, I returned to the industry with the help of a group of friends.During this period, a lot of research has been done on distributed storage, including IPFS. So this project is also about the field of distributed storage. I think blockchain + distributed storage is the only industry that can combine mining with practice. While human beings consume a lot of resources, it can also be a commercial storage network beneficial to society. MW is a mature landing project that applies IPFS technology to actual storage, and creates a feasible solution for the landing of blockchain industry.
1. I believe that after your self introduction, many audience friends are concerned about what mirror network is doing recently. Can you share it with audience friends? What achievements have mirror network made in these years?
MW is building an easy-to-use and available distributed storage network, which creates a new computing paradigm and collaboration mode of low-cost trust building in an untrusted competitive environment. We have three years of technical precipitation and have drawn on the experience of IPFS, Alibaba cloud OSS, stoij and other technologies at home and abroad. At present, the code base is close to 900000 lines, and it will also be open-source in the future. Before that, we have run a relatively stable internal test network, and many friends have participated in it.In the next three to four months, we will release our technical achievements, including practical cases, and leave a message for you.
2.What the difference between MW and filecoin? What is the core competitiveness of MW?
I believe you have known IPFS for a long time. Filecoin is the incentive layer of IPFS. To put it simply, it is the financing tool of IPFS. It was dazzling at that time.At the same time, storj and SIA did well.We also chose this way at that time. The original intention of MW is to do real distributed storage. I think MW different from filecoin in terms of starting point. The core competitiveness of MW is technology inclusiveness. We integrate decentralized storage protocol and centralized storage protocol to solve the game between decentralized storage protocol, regulatory layer and practicability.
3.Now, MW public chain has been able to apply IPFS technology to actual storage very mature, and it is the only one.what kind of difficulties did MW encounter and how did you solve them?
In January, we asked for opinions on a small scale in the industry. At that time, we fully demonstrated the storage function and blockchain information, which was unanimously recognized by everyone.Because the team is mainly technical members, the economic model should be the biggest difficulty. After extensive collection of opinions, we adjusted it no less than ten times. Finally, we chose the open and inclusive community governance scheme. There is no model, fair competition, and community motivation is our goal.
4.MW will open the test network on April 18,How should interested users participate in the test?Is there a reward for the test?
Yes, the public beta will be officially launched on April 18, 2020. It will be divided into three stages: pioneer, union and world. You can go to mw.run see the road map , there is a threshold at the earliest stage of the pioneer stage. We need to manually authenticate the added equipment to ensure the stability and robustness of the initial stage of the network, but there will be no block reward, only contribution reward provided by the foundation. After the network is stable, we will open up the block reward and enter the computing power contest period. There will be rewards in the whole public beta stage. You only need to send an email to: [email protected] to apply for joining.
5. Distributed storage mining has always been a concern of miners. What should be paid attention to when mining in MW test network? What are the requirements for mining machines? What factors will affect the mining revenue?
I like to share with you the consensus mechanism of MW. In order to make more storage devices join the MW ecosystem more fairly, and further increase the number of stable nodes in the network to improve the network dispersion, MW adopts DPoS consensus and POC consensus based on weight table. How to understand this? In fact, MW is a very inclusive project. Simply speaking, it is as simple as bitcoin mining through the competition for computing power! We have a set of strict weight calculation and distribution mechanism, which is equivalent to the law of the whole network. It will be announced in genesis block. At present, the size of storage space has the most direct impact on the income. In addition, we have a unique mining pool system, where everyone can establish a mining pool and participate in mining dividends together without having equipment. We don't have too many requirements for mining machines. At present, we only have requirements for network environment, and we need public IP.
6.In your opinion, what is the real "visual" IPFS storage system? How MW achieve "availability" and "ease of use" when building a distributed file storage network?
"Visualization" is actually very easy to understand, that is, it can be seen and felt. Now we have developed a complete visual storage path, and MW is a typical representative of visual storage. Here I highly recommend our internal measurement network that you experience. Like using a network disk, your files can be segmented, hashed and encrypted after uploading. Finally, they can be completely recovered and downloaded. We also made a short tutorial, which can be watched and understood by interested friends. In addition, our goal is to make the IPFS distributed storage system available to all ordinary people, rather than setting too high a threshold, which represents ease of use and availability.
If you want to participate in the internal test, you can contact us before April 18 to register. We will also provide 1000 coins for free. After the test network was officially launched on April 18, all data of the internal test will be reset.
7. IPFS commercial incentive layer, but also what value can MW provide us?What is the ultimate vision of the MW?
MW network can do the following:
a.establish an open distributed blockchain storage network, form a multi chain ecology with existing networks and public chains, and complete data and value transmission.
b.set up a component distributed storage network with idle storage resources in the enterprise and individuals, and deploy various public chains, storage networks and individual nodes.
c.build a global distributed cloud storage compatible with IPFS, public cloud storage and private cloud storage.
Secondly, we need to talk about our collective chain architecture. In the public chain part, MW is an open blockchain + distributed storage system, which mainly provides benefits for the miners and maintains the stability of the network. We will also make an alliance chain in China. MW will become an application network of small distributed data center, providing users with low cost, security and high private storage services can also be used to supervise and audit enterprises and governments in some specific fields or scenarios.
Finally, we can provide data backup, verification and query services for other public chain (open source chain) data.MW is an underlying system focusing on distributed storage.
8.Security has always been a key concern of people. In terms of data security, how does the mirror network ensure data security?
Data loss and privacy are the focus of data storage. I'm sure you have heard a lot of news, including customer information disclosure, downtime, server crash, selling customer privacy and so on. In fact, this is some of the problems that central storage will face. With the continuous growth of data and the improvement of people requirements for data security, the data storage mode is also generating iterations, and IPFS protocol is a very good solution to the privacy processing,On the basis of IPFS, MW also uses technologies such as file segmentation, multi backup, encryption, multi role, data correction and deletion to ensure the data security of users. One of the simplest understandings is that we will always copy three file fragments automatically in the network node to ensure the data security.
9.With the advent of 5g cloud computing era, people have new requirements for bandwidth and traffic. How is the layout of MW?How will distributed storage develop in the future?
We are full of expectations for 5g era, which is one of the reasons why we have only launched MW until now. The small distributed storage computing center close to users is more suitable for the needs of the future era. We will set up a demonstration data center in the public test network, and conduct commercial demonstration for the storage space provided by enterprises.
At the end of last year, I read a research report jointly issued. By 2023, the data storage volume will be twice that of 2019. At present, the industry is in a high-speed development stage, in which distributed storage will enter the mainstream storage market. We have planned a three-year development path, starting with cold data, such as archived data, infrequently called data, etc., public chain miner Hosting as a data center is the business model of our alliance chain. Compared with the traditional data center or cloud, we have a natural price advantage. We can even achieve 10% of the price of Tencent cloud and Alibaba cloud equivalent products. When 5g / 6G is mature, we will enter the mainstream storage market.
In the future, we also hope that global storage, open-source public chains, and enterprises and individuals with storage resources can join Mirror World Network to provide a solid infrastructure for future storage methods, and obtain appropriate rewards.

how to make money by selling your daily photos

Making money online isn’t as simple as many think even though there are lots of ways one might do it, such as playing games, mining bitcoins, creating a YouTube channel, or just creating a blog. But the Internet allows much more than these methods, and that is to make money out of your hobbies. Computer builders can advertise their skills and make client builds, graphics specialists can make custom designs and sell them and the list goes on and on.
One hobby is quite common and and the possibility for getting fair compensation is quite high: photography. Be it digital photo manipulation or old school photography, those who have this hobby can sell their photos and make a pretty buck from it. Of course, your photos must be good if you want to sell them.

What types of photos can you sell?

Pretty much any type of digital media can be sold. If you own a quality camera, like a DSLR, you can take artistic photos or stock photos. There is a big market for stock photography, as digital artists use these photos to create others from them. Also, in the same category of stock photography are texture photographs, which can also be done with a high quality camera.
Note: Stock photography requires you to have a DSLR camera, as you need the high resolution provided by these devices. This is especially true for texture photography, where the textures need to be high resolution and high quality.
Artistic photography can also bring you some money, but there are many photographers out there that are very well known and take stunning pictures of all types (portraits, landscapes, nature, sports, macro, etc), and making a name for yourself is pretty hard, but if you are talented, then you will succeed.
Digital compositions can be sold in numerous places and graphics designers have made a living out of creating awesome photos from scratch or from stocks, using specialized software, such as Adobe Photoshop. If you don’t own a powerful camera, and you don’t like going out and searching for the best frame, then this might be the one for you. But keep in mind that programs like Photoshop are very hard to learn, and becoming proficient with them will take months if not years of hard work.

Selling photos online: Q&A

If you are just now starting to think about selling your photos, then you must have lots of questions. Here are a few answers that might interest you in the beginning:
Q: How much money can I make from selling photos? A: It greatly depends on how well your photos are discovered, how many you sell and what percentage of the cost of the photos you receive from the service you use.
Q: How long before I get any payment? A: Again, it depends on how quickly your photos are discovered, how good they are, how affordable they are and of course, on what people need.
Q: Do I have to invest anything? A: In some cases, yes. There are many websites that allow you to upload photos for free, or try a demo of their services, but many require either a one time buy or a regular subscription.
Q: What is the best solution for selling photos online? A: Both ways have their advantages, what it boils down to is the time you plan on investing in this and of course, the budget.

Tips on selling your pictures online

Even though the concept of selling pictures online is pretty straightforward, there are some aspects that you should consider. By following these simple guidelines you will get a head start in your endeavor and make a name for yourself. After all, being known by people is half of the way, and once you make yourself known to the customers, you will have better chances of selling your photos.
Before you start selling your pictures online, you might want to do a little reading on photography and composition, as you will need these skills to later take good pictures. Also, if you are using Adobe Photoshop to compose or edit photos, then look at a few tutorials and learn how to use it.

Where to sell pictures online?

There are two ways to go about selling your pictures online. First off there are websites that allow you to open an account and upload your photos to your gallery. These websites are used by thousands of photographers and customers and offer a simple and effective way to sell photos online.
The other type of websites or services that you can use to sell your photos online is the online portfolio builder, where you use the dedicated tools to create your own website and have your own gallery. This allows users to better customize their pages and have nice looking websites that reflect the type of pictures they want to sell.

Websites to upload and sell your pictures

There are a number of websites where you can sell pictures but keep in mind that you can only sell pictures that belong to you. If you have some awesome pictures that you have taken, these websites will be of help if you wish to sell them and make a profit out of your hobby. This type of websites has some advantages that make them suited for certain users:
Although these websites are simple and free to use, keep in mind that they hold hundreds of thousands of images, and getting yours sold might take a while. Now that you know what these websites can do for you and how to use them, here are some examples of good markets where you can bring your photos to sell them:

Websites to create online personal portfolios

Keep in mind that not only digital copies of your images can be sold. If you have some great shots and some basic Photoshop skills, you can make your own Print on Demand website and sell your photos as greeting cards or paintings. Also, there are a number of services that will allow you to create a portfolio and upload your photos to a hosting server. From these websites, you will be able to sell your photos easily to customers. Here are some of the highlights of these services:
While these services allow anyone to create a professional portfolio, most of them are not free, and sooner or later, users will have to pay a subscription. Also, they will have to do some research on how to run a blog and make it popular if they want their pictures to show up in web searches. If you are interested in such solutions, here are a few to get you started:
These are only a few of the tools that you will use in your pursuit to sell your pictures, as there are many other tools out there that might help you. Remember to do solid research before you commit to a service or a website and try to use well known services that others have used and recommended.

Recap of Chromia AMA with the CEO of Chromia, @henrik_hjelte on BithumbGlobal telegram community dated 14.04.2020.

The AMA was moderated by u/Sidonpee.
Sidonpee
Let’s start with the introduction question:
u/henrik_hjelte Can you introduce yourself to the community? What is your background?
Henrik Hjelte
I’m the CEO of ChromaWay, the company that started the Chromia project. My background is 30+ years as a developer (got payed first when I was 15), then studied Business and other things (politics and philosophy). Worked as Finance and IT consultant. THen wanted to be an entrepreneur. started a “web 2.0” startup about a free-speech internet. Hired our current CTO as a developer. THen joined his colored-coins project, the first token protocol ie the start of blockchain in 2012.
Sorry. I’m now 50 years old, the math didn’t add up. That is why I’m the CEO and not CFO.
Sidonpee
Q1. What is Chromia? Can you tell us the technology behind it and the features that makes it unique?
Henrik Hjelte
Chromia is a new public blockchain based on the idea of integrating traditional databases, “Relational databases” with blockchain security. In the normal world outside blockchain, there is one technology that is in 100% of all enterprises and powers almost all webpages. It build Facebook, SAP, banks, blogging platforms. It is the relational database, or SQL database. Has been used for 30+ years and is still dominant with 85% market share. Why are people using it (NoSQL has been around for 15+ years)?
Because it is the best way of managing data known to mankind. Now what is blockchani? It is a way to manage data that is shared. So if you agree that blockchain is about managing data, a relational database should be an obvious technology. Chromia is a general purpose blockchain with full smart contract capabilities, just that it is a lot easier to code, even complex applications. You code with an easy to learn new programming language that combines the power of SQL and “normal languages” but makes it secure in a blockchain context. Up to 1/10 the code-lines vs other blockchains.
Sidonpee
Q2. I often see Chromia and ChromaWay being used interchangeably, what is the relationship between the two?
Henrik Hjelte
The idea for Chromia and parts of the codebase originated from the company ChromaWay. It is actually one of the first blockchain companies, we had a project for tokens before ethereum called the “colored coins” project that led to us starting a company with a name take from the greek word for color. In 2015 we did what is now called stable-coin, EURO payments based on tokens on a public blockchain (tokens on bitcoin). It was for a bank LHV in Estonia. When we need to quickly find information, we could not search the blockchain and instead started to dump everything to a relational database, and then the idea started to grow to build a blockchain around this. So we did a private blockchain, intended for usecases in land-registration, banking and more. And then came up with the idea of doing a public blockchain for it.
ChromaWay is the company that ideated Chromia and provided the first open source code for it. The Chromia pre-sale of tokens is now funding the development of Chromia, which is done by ChromaWay. When Chromia is released as a decentralized network, it will not be governed or run by ChromaWay. Of course we know it has to be decentralized, we understand the virtues of decentralization since 2012 when our CTO did the worlds first code for tokens, then started an open-source project which even inspired Vitalik (who soon quit and did his own thing). ChromaWay as a company will take a role as providing optional support and maintenance of Chromia projects (open for competition by other players).
Sidonpee
Q3. What’s the usefulness of $CHR token in Chromia ecosystem?
Henrik Hjelte
CHR can be used to pay for running dapps (normally by the developer of the dapp, not users). It can also be used as a mean of exchange between dapps, and to provide collateral/stake for providers (the ones running the blockchain), incentivizing good behaviour.
Sidonpee
Q4. What are the major milestones Chromia has achieved so far & what are your plans for 2020?
Henrik Hjelte
We have released Rell, the new programming language that is needed, and supported tooling (online Development Environment, downloadable IDE, documentation). We have release the first testnet in december, and at the same time another company 4irelabs has done the first dapp running on testnet. They could take our old code (done as a private blockchain), learn our new language Rell and port it to Chromia. That project is the Green Assets Wallet, green bond environmental impact reporting, run by a non-profit and with banks and institutions as users.
Plans for 2020 is to both release a series of dApps to showcase how fantastic Chromia is, as well as continue to develop the platform. And when it is secure and good enough, we will release mainnet.
Dapps are now being made by us as well as others. We do a decentralized social network framework call chromunity, now release to testnet. If is really cool, users can vote over moderators, and in the future users might even govern the complete application, how it can be updated. This is a great showcase for Chromia and why we use the slogan Power to the Public.
Games coming are….
  1. Mines of Dalarnia (by Workinman Interactive). An action game in a mine with blockchain rental of plots and stuff.
  2. Krystopia 2, novas journey. A puzzle game done by Antler Interactive.
  3. An indie game (not done by us so I don’t know how much I shoiul;d menton), but: it is a strategy game with FULL-LOGIC ON BLOCKHCHAIN yes ubercool that is why it is in caps
  4. A secret demo-project that we do together with Antler to showcase the technical potential of Chromia platform.
More comin in 2020: Other dapps from other companies, one in impact-tech
Games is a great way to show scalability and features BTW.
I didn’t mention that Chromia is very scalable (everyone says that). But it is true, and with no tradeoff vs decentralization
well, but I can also see enterprise projects going into more of public blockchain direction and hybrid, and there I think Chromia can really shine
Sidonpee
Q5. Revenue and adoption are the main points of all projects, can you tell us your Business model and how you generate revenue?
Henrik Hjelte
Chromia itself is a public network with no intrinsic business model, but participants in the network has. For example Providers make money from supplying quality hardware running dapps and the core software, dapp developers have individual business models.
I already told about about ChromaWay/Chromia, but ChromaWay the company can provide support/maintenance and various services and add-ons for Chromia. It is very similar to how normal open-source vendors make money.
Still up to competition from others, and without control over the Chromia network. We need it to be independent, otherwise it has no value.
So it is sound business to have it decentralized as well, who would care otherwise?
Sidonpee
Q6. Regarding Chromia’s blockchain game (Minesofdalarnia), I’m quite sure that vast majority of game lovers would be anticipating for it release, could you please share with us the likely date it will be released?
Henrik Hjelte
Yes I can
We have made very good progress recently, and I can happily share that MoD is planned to be released now in Q2.
Anastasia
Meanwhile you can check the Mines of Dalarnia Social Media page for recent updates on the game https://twitter.com/Chromia_Studios . We publish development updates there often.
You can also sign-up for early access on https://www.minesofdalarnia.com 😉
Sidonpee
Q7. Recently Chromia welcome Malcolm Lerider who was formally a Senior R&D Manager for Neo Blockchain as its new team and family member. When he was with Neo, he worked together with the community and was able to build the project from a top 50-something market cap project to a top 5 market cap project. Should we be expecting a replica of this at Chromia in the nearest future?
Henrik Hjelte
Yes. we are very excited to have Malcolm on-board, he is very knowledgeable in the area, and his expertise will definitely help with achieving that. Malcolm recently published an article where he introduced himself as a new member of Chromia. You can read it over here, if you haven’t already: https://medium.com/@MalcolmLeridei-am-joining-team-chromia-b25d527b5b6f
Sidonpee
Q8. Green Asset Wallet is absolutely an amazing starter in the Chromia blockchain! I would like to hear how you guys see the future business development possibilities in the next /6/12 months? Are there specific business areas, geographical locations, which you want to focus on most?
Henrik Hjelte
Thank you, yes, it is nice to have a project that is enterprise, and green too as the first one.
We are working both to reach out but also support inbound requests for projects, I shared some above.
Sometimes with business development, ChromaWAy might find a customeprospect but we don’t know where it will end. We think however, and Gartner too, that enterprise blockchain is gradually looking more at public blockchain projects.
I think DeFI, tokenization of assets and things like that is interesting.
Also, hopefully someone will be inspired by our solution to a free, open, user-governed decentralized social web, what we are now showing with Chromunity. Jack Dorsey, are you listening?
We don’t have a particular geographical focus though, and really it is a generic platform use-case agnostic.
We use games to show potential and scalability, but who knows maybe other applications will be more. It is not only up to us.
Sidonpee
Q9. Who are Chromia’s strategic investors and partners? What criteria/ process do you follow in evaluating your partnership deal with them?
Henrik Hjelte
We have some strategic investors and partners that have helped us during the way, I think maybe I should not mention them here with the risk of forgetting some of them, and I have no time to check if we should mention them, We (and the partner) look at how we can help each other on a case by case basis. There is no simple scorecard that we can follow.

Q10. Why did Chromia develop a new language called Rell (Relational language) for dapp
programming?
Is the development of this new language really necessary?
If yes, what are some of its unique features that cannot be found in other existing languages/environments?
Henrik Hjelte
Yes it was necessary. We need the features of relational alegbra. It is is a mathematical basis, very similar to logic, that has only had basically one implementation (SQL). But SQL was not secure enough and lacked features that can be used in a shared context like a blockchain. Everything needs to be secure. Also we wanted to add blockchain features, and make it look more like “normal programming”. Now some of the readers might ask? Can’t you do this on the EVM? No. Ethereum does simply not have anything similar to a relational database, and it would be technically infeasible.
Some others may ask? How can you compete with the EVM /pet-project that have soo many developers etc…?
My answer is : we are building on top of a virtual machine called Postgresql. Check how much time, optimization and money has been spent on that virtual machine…
I think it is 20 years or more of development time, maybe more.
Static typing is one feature we add that SQL doesn’t have (you can detect bugs at compile time)
Yusuf
What have been the major obstacle Chromia has faced in the past years while developing its idea?
Whats the benefits for developers at Chromia? Why should we use Chromia instead of your competitors?
Henrik Hjelte
Obstacle: Technology/software developement is hard sometimes, difficult to predict when things are ready.
Major benefits for developers: A LOT EASIER to code COMPLEX applications. I’m serious. If you are frustrated with blockchain development, take a look at the ease of use of Rell/Chromia

DeFi is projected to buzz up in 2020 and is on everybody lips, what ROLES does Chromia play in the innovativeness and future of DeFi and how does it spearhead adoption of DeFi using blockchain solution?
Henrik Hjelte
Finance would be almost unthinkable without relational databases, the power core banking and more. An exchange is a table of bid and ask, and you match them. This is very easy to do with our tech.

If any Dapp is created on Chromia Blockchain! Then is there any Gas fees charged by Chromia? Whats the concept of fees for Dapps on Chromia Blockchain?
Henrik Hjelte
No gas per user fee. The application pays for hosting, like a cloud. Normally the developer, unless the developer hands over the governenace of the application to someone else (maybe the users).

Most blockchain projects have donated to COVID-19, but no news from Chromia. How will you contribute to fight COVID-19?
Henrik Hjelte
I had to answr this: I spent my free weekend time on a covid-19 hackathon the other week to do a solution to share medical equipment across countries. It is on our facebook I think u/anastasiazudina maybe you can share

Chromia creates a new lightweight programming language called RELL. How is this different and better for programmers than other popular language like Solidity, C++ and Java?
Henrik Hjelte
When you think about a large Java project done for say a bank. Ask the developers what OTHER thing they use? DO they ONLY use Java and store files on a server? Or do they also use a database. You will find that in 99.9% of cases they ALSO use a relational database. No one would EVER think about doing a solution to manage data with ONLY Java, C++ or whatever.
Alejandro Urich
For the development of the Dapps, do you only support Rell? Is it possible to program in another language that works with Chromia?
Henrik Hjelte
Because we require both relational database properties and more security than SQL, currently Rell is the only choice. It is really easy to learn, and in all cases if we allowed a “normal” language it would miss the feautures of relational databases.
zafer metin
Mr Henrik What are the advantages of Postchain used for Chromia? How is a consortium provided to database management with distributed control?
Anastasia
Thank you for your interest in Postchain uses! We have an article written what answers exactly those questions: https://blog.chromia.com/postchain-for-the-public-scaling-relational-blockchain/

As I know providers will be chosen by Chromaway, so how is it decentralized due to choice is totally in Chromaway?
Henrik Hjelte
Initial providers. We will migrate to a model where ChromaWAy has no more say than anyone else. But we need to bootstrap and start. Better to choose good initial providers.
David Prince
What is your long-term vision about the industry which Chromia is working at? Are you afraid someday there will be another Project with more innovative technology can replace Chromia?
Henrik Hjelte
Well. Blockchain is about managing data (in a shared context). I’m repeating myself but the market leading (85%) for 30+ years slution to manage data is a relational database. We are now the only relational database + blockchain. Who knows, maybe some better way to manage data will be invented? But even NoSQL who has been around and bark like a little dog has after a decade or more time only 15% market share. I think our tech will stand the mark of time.

Bitcoin and Late Stage Capitalism

Hey y'all. I used to be big into bitcoin when I was in college around 2011-2012. At one point I had as many as 120 btc purchased at a glorious $8 a pop. Being the disciplined investor I was, I sold out completely to pay for a vacation and paying off some debt when the price surged to a then unheard of price of $35. Fast forward to me forgetting Bitcoin ever existed until when the price peaked in late 2017 and I ended up fixing my car selling about 0.11 btc I forgot I had lying around in a wallet I used to play Satoshi dice back in the day.
I bring up my history with Bitcoin simply to avoid being dismissed as unqualified to hold an opinion.
My opinion is that while blockchain technology has a bunch of applications that can be used to help innovation in countless fields, I do not see Bitcoin to be viable as anything other than a curiosity or speculative asset in the long run.
My problems break down like this: 1) Deflationary currencies as a whole are terrible in economic terms. What percentage of transactions today are actually anything other than speculation or for drugs or other illegal goods or services? 2) Obscenely wasteful in terms of energy consumption. Me going to the deli and buying a sandwich with cash does not involve massive server farms running constantly to even have the ability to buy something. Why would a developing nation use something like Bitcoin when it barely had enough infrastructure to have basic phone or Internet service? 3) Inequality. A lot of people online seem to believe mass adoption of Bitcoin would lead to some sort of egalitarian economic Utopia free of debt where it rains gumdrops. The truth is if you didn't hop on the bandwagon long, long ago, and already own a decent supply of bitcoin, investing a significant sum of money in Bitcoin today will most likely lose you money. Early adopters who mined when it was easy sit on hoards of bitcoins that if ever sold would massively impact the market. We see this all the time today. In a world where Bitcoin has massive international usage, what makes an early adopter of Bitcoin any different than an old time feudal landlord who only owns that land because it's been in his family for generations?

AES Crypt security audit (1 serious issue found)

I just learned about privacytools.io this afternoon and started poking around at some of the software I hadn't heard of before. One in particular caught my eye: AES Crypt. It's listed as "Worth Mentioning" under "File Encryption". I found some minor issues and one major issue.
I only looked at the Linux version, written in C. However, most of the issues I highlight are relevant to all versions since it's part of the file format.
Update: So apparently the major issue has been known since 2012, but they've decided not to address it. Therefore Privacy Tools should not be recommending this software.
Update 2: AES Crypt was removed

The Bad News

Let's start with the most serious issue. An unauthenticated field in encrypted files is trusted, and this allows a man-in-the-middle to manipulate the plaintext without being detected. I wrote up a little example scenario in my bug report, along with proof of concept you can try for yourself:
GitHub issue #23: Unauthenticated header data is trusted, making the plaintext malleable
Instead of using a proper padding scheme, the size of the final block is stored in a last_block_size field in the file. Despite being placed between the encrypted message and the authentication tag, it's not authenticated. This is a huge no-no and must be fixed before it would be reasonable to recommend this tool to anyone for any use.
It's not a problem with the code, but the file format itself. Therefore all versions are affected, and the fix will require a new file format (version 3?).
It could be fixed by including the last_block_size field when authenticating, but it would be much better to drop this field and use a standard padding scheme like PKCS#5. As a really minor bonus, this would also hide the exact file length from snoops.

Weak key derivation

The encryption key is derived from the user-entered password by iterating SHA-256 8,192 times. It's not a showstopper, but this is very weak, and puts a lot more stress on choosing good passphrases. It is salted with the IV, which helps protect against some kinds of attacks.
This is part of the file format since the passphrase is usable between implementations, so all versions are affected.
Recommendation: Switch to a memory-hard KDF like Argon2 or scrypt. Less good option: allow the number of iterations to be configured, or just use more iterations. It's very easy to parallelize SHA-256, especially thanks to all those hardware implementations designed for mining Bitcoin.

More complicated than necessary

The passphrase is used to encrypt yet another key, which is used to encrypt the message. This offers no additional protection, and it's not used for anything. The only reason you might want something like this is so that you can encrypt the file with more than one passphrase, allowing it to be decrypted with any individual passphrase. But that's not a feature of AES Crypt.
Worse, it actually weakens the format since it makes brute force attacks on the passphrase faster. No need to check guesses against the entire ciphertext, just the fixed-length key!
This is part of the file format so all versions are affected.
Recommendation: Get rid of this. It's not a big deal, it's just pointless.

Some cargo culting

Entropy read from the operating system (/dev/urandom, etc.) isn't entirely trusted for some reason, so it's hashed along with the current time and PID. That's not sufficient to accomplish anything useful. It doesn't hurt, but it's a strange thing to do.
This isn't part of the file format, so it's just a quirk of the Linux and Windows implementations.

Ambiguous licensing

I am unable to find any license governing the C Linux and Windows versions of the software. There's no LICENSE file, and the individual sources are not consistently marked. The AES implementation is embedded and marked as GPL, which suggests the entire source is GPL.
So at the moment a conservative take would be that AES Crypt is source available but not necessarily Open Source.

Perhaps some code quality issues?

There were a couple cases of undefined behavior. I submitted a patch to fix these. (Update: This patch was never accepted, and so AES Crypt still invokes undefined behavior each time it's used to encrypt data, making all its output suspect.)
The very second time I ran the aescrypt command after compiling it, I got a segmentation fault, which was pretty alarming. I submitted a patch to fix this, too (Update: also never accepted), but considering how quickly I found this, I wonder how many more issues are lingering. File name handling is a mess. Though, as a command line program, it's probably reasonable to consider the command line arguments trusted inputs.
I looked mostly at the code that does encryption and decryption, and that part is pretty solid. It does thorough error checking and is even careful to clean up before bailing out.

Variable-time comparison

The memcmp() function is used to verify the authentication tag, which takes a variable amount of time to complete. It's not significant for a command line application like this since it's never going to behave as an oracle for an attacker, but something to notice, especially if the code is reused in, say, a server implementation of AES Crypt.

The Good News

It's not well documented, but the encryption scheme is AES-256 in CBC mode, authenticated with encrypt-then-authenticate HMAC-SHA256. Except for the lack of padding, it's all solid stuff. The IV is generated and used properly, and the (pointless) intermediate key is also generated properly (C version, Linux and Windows).
The program makes consistent and reasonable attempts to sanitize memory holding sensitive information. Well done!
As I noted, the actual file parsing and crypto routines are, for the most part, robust with error checking and input validation. (Though, I did notice the upper four bits of last_block_size is allowed to hold any value with no impact on the result.)
If the padding issue is fixed with a new file format, then it's reasonable to recommend this tool with the caveat that the KDF is weak and so your passphrases must be especially strong.
Disclaimer: I wrote and maintain a similar open source tool called Enchive which is perhaps a "competitor" in this area.

Best CPU/GPU upgrade for HP ML310e v2?

Hey Guys,
Looking for some rec's for my home server upgrade....
I bought an HP ML310e v2 with a Xeon E3-1220 V3 years ago for my plex/nas server and I've been looking for a way to add hardware acceleration for transcoding for my Plex server (the E3-1220 V3 does not come with a GPU so no quicksync or anything like that).
Would you guys recommend I upgrade the CPU (will still need to be a Xeon since I run ECC ram) and if so, what CPU makes sense? Would it just be the top end E3-1271 V3 according to the HP datasheet or is there a better CPU I could install?
Or should I just add a GPU into one of the PCI slots and call it a day (I have no kept up to date on the latest GPU wars so no clue where to start)?
I'm running Windows Server 2012 R2 for my OS, The server sits in the basement so there's no real consideration for noise/heat. I'm not interested in bitcoin mining or anything like that. Though I do like the idea of hosting a steam link session to my Apple TV if the GPU is good enough (is steam link even a thing still?).
TIA!

Debt Free! I paid off my Medical school loans! Bitcoin changed my life!

I started mining around 2012. Started mining on GPUs to build out an amazing gaming rig and just kept upgrading the rigs. I just kept getting more, GPUs and my home started looking like a server.
Even got one of the first Butterfly ASICs (mined a few bitcoins realized I would net more bitcoins selling it on Ebay and buying in). Slowly I stopped mining as my GPUs stopped getting a profit and my overclocked gpus slowly burnt themselves out.
Then I just hodl. Just didn't pay attention, checked out, and said I wouldn't do anything until it changed my life.
Fam, this last month it changed my life. I said I would sell at 10K to pay off loans, then it shot up to 18 before I knew it. This is amazing, I sold not even 10% of my hodlings and am now debt free.
Again, I am drawing the sell line in the sand. Not until it changes my life again. This time the line is to buy a house, when I can do that with Bitcoin I will have to part with a little bit more. Excited for that day!

How Bitcoin (BTC) Can Prepare for a Severe Geomagnetic Storm

How Bitcoin (BTC) Can Prepare for a Severe Geomagnetic Storm

https://preview.redd.it/kn9csywepzb21.png?width=690&format=png&auto=webp&s=550d1e5b0f2f1171b055016966d4a0df2a8a4833
https://cryptoiq.co/how-bitcoin-btc-can-prepare-for-a-severe-geomagnetic-storm/
Since the creation of Bitcoin (BTC) in 2009, there have been no severe geomagnetic storms. However, Bitcoin (BTC) users are highly dependent on internet and electricity, and it is inevitable that one day, a severe geomagnetic storm will disrupt Bitcoin (BTC) users across the globe.
A geomagnetic storm starts at the surface of the sun, where massive helical loops of magnetic energy extend outwards into space. These helical magnetic fields often break down in a phenomenon known as magnetic reconnection, and this projects a tremendous amount of radiation and charged particles into space. This is called a solar flare and coronal mass ejection.
When solar flares hit the Earth, they cause rapid fluctuations in Earth’s magnetic field. A fluctuating magnetic field induces electrical currents in conductors. The world’s internet is connected with cables that span the entire ocean, and these cables are highly susceptible to induced electric currents from a geomagnetic storm. Further, electrical power lines extend across great distances on land, and during a severe geomagnetic storm, the current would become so great that transformers would explode and power substations could catch fire.
In March 1989 a severe geomagnetic storm caused Quebec’s power grid to go down within seconds, and another storm in August 1989 halted trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. However, these events do not compare to the Carrington Event of 1859, the largest geomagnetic storm in recorded human history. Telegraphs system across the world were overloaded with induced electrical current, causing pylons to spark and operators to get shocked. After electricity was cut from the grid numerous telegraph operators were still able to send messages since the geomagnetic storm was generating electricity in the lines. Aurora Borealis, an atmospheric phenomena typically only observed in polar regions, was observed as far south as Cuba and Hawaii.
If the Carrington Event were to occur today, it would shut down electrical and communication grids for days, months, even years, and ultimately, damage could be trillions of dollars. In 2012, a Carrington-sized solar flare happened, but it missed Earth.
The Bitcoin network has just over 10,000 full nodes as of this writing, mostly centered in the United States, Europe, China, and Japan. Unfortunately these nodes are far enough from the equator that they would be highly susceptible to a severe geomagnetic storm and would likely go offline.
Maintaining Bitcoin nodes in the tropics, especially right around the equator, will be crucial to the survival of the Bitcoin network during a severe geomagnetic storm. Even in the worst geomagnetic storm, the equatorial region will be shielded by Earth’s magnetic field, and nations right on the equator may experience little disruption to their electricity and internet.
At this time, there are only about 50 Bitcoin nodes in the equatorial region, mostly in Malaysia, Venezuela, and Colombia. In order for the Bitcoin network to be robust in the event of the most catastrophic geomagnetic storm, global efforts should be made to increase the number of Bitcoin nodes and mining farms along the equator.
Bitcoin users at higher latitudes, like the United States, can take steps to prepare for a geomagnetic storm. All Bitcoin and cryptocurrency should be held in personal wallets where the private key is exclusively controlled by the user, since even reputable wallet services could have their servers fried during a severe geomagnetic storm.
Also, having a personal source of renewable electricity like wind, solar, or hydroelectric could ensure that Bitcoin users keep their electricity running even when the whole grid collapses.
Bitcoin users and miners should disconnect their computers and rigs from electricity before the geomagnetic storm hits. For the most severe geomagnetic storms — ones like the Carrington Event — there is less than one day of warning. Bitcoin users can monitor the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) to avoid being caught off-guard. Computers and mining rigs connected to electricity during a geomagnetic storm could get fried by the induced electrical current.
Maintaining an internet connection is the hardest thing to prepare for. Not even satellite internet is a good option, nor the Blockstream satellites which broadcast the Bitcoin blockchain from space, since satellites can easily get fried by radiation during a severe geomagnetic storm. The best thing Bitcoin users could do is make sure they control their private keys, have a personal renewable electricity source, protect their computer from the storm, and wait for electricity to come back up.

As an early BTC holder, this is my take on Ethereum

I've been interested in crypto from a computer science and math perspective ever since college and I work for a fortune 500 software company but my first interaction with bitcoin was actually incidental back in 2012 when I was trying to purchase some usage on a gaming server and instead of paypal they wanted BTC which along with everyone else I had never even heard of and upon first glance sounded like some kind of scam. Through sheer dumb luck I ended up with BTC sitting in a wallet mainly because it seemed like a royal pain to convert it back to USD and had basically forgotten about it until 2014 when along with the rest of the world I was forced to pay attention.
The math and distributed algorithm that makes the whole Bitcoin system work is very elegant and I thought of BTC like virtual gold if gold had a predictable mining schedule, no industrial uses, and the ability to be easily exchanged outside the confines of the traditional banking and governmental systems. Even aside from the block size issues, my biggest concern about BTC has always been that it is overwhelmingly used for speculative investment rather than actually being exchanged often for goods and services (With the obvious exception of the dark markets which unquestionably have been the largest actual use of BTC as a currency).
Ethereum is ALOT harder to get your head around than Bitcoin and the implications of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and Solidity based smart contracts are non-trivial and also not immediately obvious. Having studied and dabbled in the code for some time now, it is my belief that at some point in the future a blockchain based system will necessarily replace certain parts of the economy that currently rely on trusted 3rd parties such as banks, accountants, lawyers, etc. Additionally, a distributed virtual machine has the potential to be much more game changing than any of the current industry standard "cloud" offerings... As obvious as it seems now that the internet and automation would revolutionize the economy, I believe in the future it will seem just as obvious that the blockchain would be every bit as big of a disruptor.
That being said, there are still numerous technical challenges that need to be solved and the transaction costs for executing code on the EVM need to come down considerably before Ethereum can be considered a viable implementation to fulfill the potential. A successful transition to Proof of Stake can probably mitigate the transaction cost issue and the other challenges also seem solvable but the tough part will always be to not introduce unintended side effects of exploits that could create another DAO situation or worse.
If you are investing in ETH today , know that the price right now is driven primarily by speculation and there are many ways from getting hacked to an undiscovered exploit to a market panic that your entire investment could disappear before your eyes so only invest what you can afford to lose.
With that caveat in place: IF everything falls into place... IF Ethereum is successful in navigating the ups and downs of the gauntlet to primetime... IF even a fraction of the current economy transitions to use it rather than the traditional trusted 3rd parties THEN it is hard to put a reasonable upper limit on where the price of ETH could go in the long run...
It is certainly a risky investment and will be subject to rampant price fluctuations but because the upper limit is pretty much incalculable if the promise is even partly fulfilled I feel compelled to be a part of it. I converted all my BTC to ETH and I have also been buying more ETH recently which to some probably seems silly since it is not appreciably increasing my position. The way I see it however, after explaining all the risks and to only invest what you can afford to lose, friends and family have been buying in recently and if I truly believe that it is right for them I should and am still excited to buy now with the understanding that it is a very risky investment and I am not liquidating my 401k or other diversified safer investments to do it.
My advice to anybody starting out, Identify an amount that you can afford to lose, maybe that is $100, $1000, or $10,000 depending on your situation. Don't try to time the market, either put it all in at once or split it up on a schedule, and then make sure you have the mental fortitude to not sell at the inevitable dip or panic and wait many years to see how your investment pays off. It can be helpful to mentally assume that your investment is lost, don't check the price obsessively, and try to follow actual developments in the Ethereum ecosystem more than the rampant speculation and emotional roller coaster of traders who are getting caught up in the short term gambling aspect of things.
Any money invested in ETH right now is still VERY EARLY money at any price. Most people still haven't heard of it and the technology itself is still in it's infancy. Only time will tell if the promise will be fulfilled or if everything will come crashing down unexpectedly. One prediction I am pretty confident in though is that many years from now this will either have been the absolute best or worst investment you have ever made, there really is not much middle ground...
Can't wait to see what the future holds!
