Ethereum 's Top 7 Mining Tools in 2020
If there is a cryptocurrency that has acquired popularity close to Bitcoin, then it is Ethereum. It is among the leading crypto-currencies when it comes to market capitalization. Ethereum is not just a cryptocurrency, but it is also a blockchain system that is useful in creating decentralised applications. Since Ethereum Blockchain is used by most companies now, it is gaining popularity among Ethereum miners and developers. Ethereum mining is a great way to make more cash. Benefiting from cryptocurrencies in p is a perfect option. Since many applications for Blockchain depend on Ethereum. Ethereum mining is going to be lucrative, as its price is expected to grow. The Ethereum minimum can be simplified with the use of the best Ethereum software. There are some apps like that on the market, and we've got the seven best for you here. 7 Ethereum 's Best Apps: ETHminer- This is an Ethereum mining application which is supported on Linux , Windows, and Mac. It is also possible to use the Ethash algorithm, luke Ellaisma, Musicoin Ethereum Classic, Metaverse, It is a command-line program that allows you to construct shortcut commands using a Windows cmd / batch file or Linux Bash script. The next software on our list is CGMiner-A, which was published in 2011. It is one of the common choices and has compatibility with GPU, FPGA, and ASIC. It is open-source software and can cause advanced detection of blocks. It is written in C; Ethereum developers are able to save a hash rate without delay using this Ethereum mining programme. On Linux , Windows, and Mac, this program is open. BitMinter- The graphical interface is transparent and it links easily to the Bitminter mining pool. This software was launched in 2011 and has more than 450,000 user accounts registered. The Java Network Launch Protocol (JNLP) is the foundation of its operations. Linux, Windows and Mac are also compatible with this programme. Claymore- This is one of the most powerful mining applications for Ethereum, and without delaying the mining pace, you can scale up the hash rate. Hello I'm looking for help on setting up some part of mining bitcoin. I have no background in codding but I'm a quick learner. I have been looking into bitcoin a few months back but I decided to try it without investing anything in hardware at first (not making a milk crate miner). I known some will tell me I'm loosing my time but I want to understand and make it work on my computer. So here what I have, my graphic card is a Nvidia Geforce 210, cpu AMD A4-6300. I have setup a wallet with Armory, bitcoin core and I join a mining pool. Now I'm trying to setup cgminer I made a batch file but that where I'm block. cgminer open it connect to pool but it doesn't process, I think it not using my graphic card. What should be the best commands to enter within batch file? Thanks in advance,
Hello guys, I am extremely new to this bitcoin mining and I had a couple of questions. My set up: 2 of HIS HD Radeon 7950s running at 800 MHz, 1250 memory clock cgminer 3.2 Questions: 1. out of box I am mining at 420mh/s at intensity 6. Is that good? It looks like this card can overall do about 500 out of box but my friend has told me he gets about 450 out of it.
What exactly is thread concurrency? What are some important arguments to put into the batch file when setting one up for cgminer?
Is it safe to overclock? If there is a way to overclock and stay at mid 70's for the temp, fans running at 100%, is it dangerous to do so? would the outcome be worth it?
Is there a way to overclock it and keep temps mid 70s?
Hey guys, I wanted to start mining CGMiner but all blocks are rejected. I have AMD R9 270X MSI 2GB RAM and my batch file is this:
start /D "D:\Dogecoin\cgminer-3.7.2-windows" cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://uk1.ghash.io:3333 -u riskyourrisk.worker1 -p password --temp-target 75 --auto-fan and what i get is this The problem is, it does it with all the pools and even bitcoin.(I was trying to mine dogecoins)
A lot of things weren't in the picture so I'll type them
Rejected 36ab2abe Diff 1.2K/1024 GPU pool 0 (Low difficulty)
help! Can't resolve some frustrating cgminer errors
Hey guys, I'm very new to coin mining in general and I decided to start with litecoin. I used this tutorial http://www.cryptobadger.com/2013/04/build-a-litecoin-mining-rig-windows/ and followed the instructions carefully. I all the essential stuff. Here is my batch file, pretty standard: timeout /t 30 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://miner.alternatepool.com:3333 -u 1HNLeDPzFfBxVvgD5ybAeaJvJg3PRyaRZA -p x pause I'm trying to use alternatepool since they pay in bitcoin but mine a basket of altcoins. I get the following: Started cgminer 3.7.2 Probing for an alive pool No servers were found that could be used to get work from. Please check the details from the list below of the servers you have input. Most likely you have input the wrong URL, forgotten to add a port, or have not set up workers. Pool:0 URL:stratum+tcp://miner.alternatepool.com:3333 -u 1HNLeDPzFfBxVvgD5ybAeaJvJg3PRyaRZA -p x press any key to exit, or cgminer will try again in 15s. No servers could be used! Exiting. I would love some guidance here...
I'm having a pretty strange issue. Up until a few months ago I was mining bitcoins using cgminer just fine. I stopped because it became entirely unprofitable. I decided this week to start mining litecoins and read up on what I needed. I created a new cgminer folder specifically for litecoin with a different version number of cgminer to avoid any conflicts. I eventually got it all ready and went to run cgminer and as soon as I double clicked the batch file I made it cause a BSOD. The message with the BSOD is "Bad_Pool_Header". I thought that I may have had some incorrect flags in my batch file or maybe I was trying to push it too hard. I decided to see what would happen if I tried to run my old bitcoin mining config and it too instantly causes a BSOD. The only thing I can think of that has changed about my system is that I got a new PC case and changed the slot the graphics card was in, but I removed all the drivers and re-installed them when I did that. From here things only get weirder. I had been on Catalyst 13.12 and decided to downgrade to 13.1 to see if that would help. That didn't do anything so I decided to see if I could get guiminer going just to see if it was all miners. I tried to start guiminer and it instantly gave me a "guiminer has stopped working" message. Long story short when I downgraded my drivers 13.1 refused to install openCl properly even after several reinstall attempts. I updated to 13.4 and now openCL is fine and guiminer works just fine using cgminer 3.7.2. However, when I attempt to run cgminer itself I still get a BSOD. I can't understand why when I run a freshly unpacked cgminer I get a BSOD, but if I run guiminer and it uses cgminer it works fine. I'm pretty content with guiminer, but want to figure out what the issue is just in case it may cause other issues later. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before? My Rig (nothing is overclocked): Sapphire 7950 (100352-3L) i5-2500k ASROCK Z67 Extreme 4 16 GB RAM 3TB HDD Windows 7 Pro
[FS] VERY cheap: Bunch of liquid cooling stuff: R9 290/290x waterblocks (4), GPU cooling linkers (3), Radiator/Pump/Reservoir combo.
My name is Josh. I am selling many liquid cooling components for roughly 50% off what FrozenCPU has them listed as. If somebody buys the whole lot immediately, I will drop the price from 50% off to 60% off. I'm willing to accept Bitcoin or Dogecoin as payment as well. Here is the album of all products: http://imgur.com/a/HrWDJ Why I'm selling: I'm selling these items because I decided against liquid cooling. I was originally going to go with a 4x 290 liquid cooled setup, but my girlfriend took a sudden interest in gaming, so I decided to just build her a machine with 2 of the cards and forego the water cooling. I bought the parts from frozenCPU.com, and they don't allow returns of unopened items. I'm selling cheap because my apartment is filled with computer stuff and I need to clear it out ASAP.
In case you've never built a liquid cooled system before, keep in mind you need to fill the radiator and bleed the loop
If you plan on mining with these, bear in mind you need to use the switch in your batch file that causes CGminer to ignore the fan speed, otherwise it will crash. Either this, or use a different mining program, or somehow keep the fan plugged in after you install the water blocks.
the blocks already have thermal pads attached to them, but they come with some extra padding if you want to switch it out.
one of the blocks doesn't come with thermal paste. It shouldn't be a problem if you order more than one block (all the rest come with paste), or you use your own paste, such as Arctic Silver.
New CryptoCoin launch preperation guide; I've created this short guide for new users who want to jump in on the mining of a newly launched coins. Being prepared and getting on the network immediately will lead to you finding the earliest blocks (some coins have block rewards that are higher in the beginning) Step One - Prepare the Data/Wallet directory The first step in this guide will be to setup the directory that will hold your wallet data, config file and blockchain store. We want to set this up first so we can immediately start solo mining without screwing around with settings that are common across all CryptoCoin wallets. Windows 7/8; C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Appdata\Roaming\COIN_NAME Windows XP; C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Appdata\Roaming\COIN_NAME Linux; ~/.coinname/ MacOS X - ~/Library/Application Support/ Create a directory in one of the above directories that will match the name of the coin (ie: Bitcoin). In this directory we are going to make the default .conf file; Default options listed in the COINNAME.conf will be as follows; server=1 listen=1 daemon=1 rpcuser=YOUR_DESIRED_USER_NAME rpcpassword=YOUR_DESIRED_PASSWORD rpcport=NUMERIC_PORT_TO_LISTEN_ON rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 Change the rpcport parameter to a generic port # if you plan on only having one batch file to start solo mining. WARNING, this method will interfere with mining if multiple wallets are running using the same port number. If the launch forum post lists default rpcport #s, use them instead of one generic port. (cryptocointalk/bitcointalk). Pay attention to the original launch information forum post, adding nodes with addnode=ipaddress, can help speed up node discovery and wallet sync. You can add these options fairly quickly with a cut and paste. If you have multiple rigs and plan to throw their hashes at the wallet if it's not on the same machine, use the .conf option rpcallowip=your.network.address.* (eg: rpcallowip=192.168.0.*). Step Two - Create your .bat file If you've been mining for awhile, this should be a simple step, otherwise, it is beyond this tutorial on how to fine tune your mining software. The .bat file should only be a few lines long; setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:WALLET_RPCPORT_PARAM -u YOUR_USERNAME -p YOUR_PASSWORD the_rest_of_your_miner_config_here This is the default for scrypt mining. Always pay attention to the announcement post for specific mining options (CPU only, keccek, scrypt-n, etc). Change the IP address in -o option to your wallet machines ip address, should be you mining from a different machine. (making sure to set the above rpcallowip= correctly) note: adding gen=1 to your config file will automatically start the wallets internal block generation routine, by passing the need to start your mining software. Just remember to edit this option later if you run the wallet continually and do no plan to directly mine. Step Three - Mine! Download and install/extract wallet, run the wallet. If everything is set correctly, you should be ahead of the game and finding blocks very quickly. If you've found this post informative, I'm never opposed to receiving gifts of Litecoin :D LXFE81zFSTkzsV1TrRCtdy781F1aiEfYHe also: If you have any additions to this guide, please PM or comment, so that I may correct any errors I may have included. edit: formatting.
[Help] CGMiner Crashing While Trying to Mine LTC with 6990
Basically just what it sounds like. I'm using the following command line with CGMiner and my HIS 6990 video card: cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://notroll.in:3333 -u Username.1 -p x --shaders 1536 --intensity 13 --worksize 128 When I run this batch file, I see cgminer starting up properly, but right when it would transition into actually mining it immediately stops responding and closes. Background info, I'm able to mine bitcoin without any issues whatsoever with this card. I've also been able to mine litecoin with special litecoin guiminer version with reaper, but since the 6990 runs so hot and the fan control is so terrible it just overheats and shuts down my system. Basically, I need CGMiner because of its superior fan control and heat monitoring but for the life of me can't get it running.
Download CGMiner. Download CGMiner from here. 3. Unpack CGMiner to your hard drive. Open the archive you've just downloaded with 7-Zip, WinRAR or some other program and upack it to your hard drive. 4. Create your batch file . 4.1. Change the file extension. Now in your mining rig enter the IP address of your wallet machine in the URL field of your batch file. Save it and then run it. If it works then use the same batch file setup for all your mining rigs that you’d like to solo mine. Im on slush pool and have one worker. Im not sure if i add my account username, password, worker name etc in the batch file text or in cg miner itself.
